Brian Harman Wins The Open

+ Red Bull Earns 12th Straight Win

Good Morning! We hope you’re ready for a great week as we inch just a little bit closer to football. With the golf season winding down we’ll be looking at the World Cup and Major League Baseball over the next few weeks until we’re ready for the gridiron.

Let’s get today started.

The Open Championship

Brian Harman won The Open Championship at the Royal Liverpool and grabbed his 1st Major win ever. This is his 3rd overall win on the Tour since going pro and his last win was in 2017. That’s how you hang around.

The 5 foot 7, 36-year-old may not be the farthest hitter on tour, but he sure did showcase quite a few of his other talents this weekend. Harman was ranking 14th in driving accuracy coming into this week. That’s a big deal when you're playing your links course with fairways that are sprawling the countryside. There was lots of trouble in the pot bunkers, tall grasses, and fescue in Liverpool.

What else did Harman do great this weekend?

He made 58 of 59 putts from within 10 feet.

He also only made 6 bogeys the entire tournament and you know by now the way to go low is not to get more birdies but to get way less bogeys.

Brian Harman dominated this week and it shows in his stats. Congrats on his first major win.

And most Major winners are going out partying and celebrating with their boys.. not Harman, this Georgia boy has different plans for next week.

F1 In Hungary

The Red Bull Team broke a record in Hungary with their 12th straight win yesterday when Max Verstappen won his 7th straight race.

It was another dominant win from Verstappen after he started in the second position but he quickly took over the lead position and then finished the race 33.7 seconds in front of the next racer.

Michael Jordan’s Sale Has Been Approved

The NBA Board of Governors approved MJ’s sale of the Charlotte Hornets to a group led by Gabe Plotkin. This will end MJ’s run of being a primary owner for 13 years.
