Can You See Her Now?
It didn’t take Caitlin Clark very long to break the record last night. She needed 8 points to break the all-time scoring record, and she scored the first 8 points for Iowa. Iowa beat Michigan 106-89, and CAITLIN CLARK SCORED 49 POINTS.
HISTORY ‼️ Caitlin Clark is the new NCAA Women’s Basketball’s All-Time Leading Scorer. 🐐

We had to open with that. Now, let’s take a closer look at what happened last night and what the sports world has in store for today and tomorrow.
NBA Daily Leaders + All-Star Break
🏀 Klay Thompson came off the bench for the first time since his rookie season with Golden State and hit seven 3-pointers and scored a season-high 35 points, helping the Warriors to a 140-137 victory over the Utah Jazz. Steve Kerr stuck to his plan of using Thompson as a 6th man, as he only had him play for 28 minutes.
🏀 The Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 113-110 last night, but Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 points. Doc Rivers chalked it up to “some guys being in Cabo,” as last night was the last night of play before the all-star break. Still, you can’t be a contender in the East and lose to the Grizzlies. Ziaire Williams scored 27 for the Grizz.
🏀 Anthony Edwards continues his all-star play, scoring 35 points in a win against the Portland Trailblazers. Minnesota got the W 128-91.
All-Star Weekend
👉️ The NBA will take a week off from regular season games, and action will resume next Thursday. We do have a little treat with it being the all-star weekend, though, and there’s plenty of action to follow the next few days.
We’ve got the all-star game on Sunday, and we’ll talk more about that in two days, but tonight and tomorrow, we have a lineup of events in Indianapolis that should be a lot of fun.
Friday Night
🏀 We’ve got the celebrity all star game tonight at 7 pm on ESPN and it’s a pretty cool coaching lineup. We’ve got Team Shannon, coached by Shannon Sharpe and 50 Cent going against Team Stephen A, coached by Stephen A. Smith, Lil Wayne, and A’Ja Wilson. We’ve got actors, athletes, rappers, YouTubers, and much more playing tonight. Tune in, and you can see Anuel AA, Kai Cenat, Walker Hayes, Micah Parson, Metta World Peace (why is he even playing?), CJ Stroud, J-Hud, and even Quincy Isaiah, who is the dude portraying Magic Johnson on the HBO show Winning Time.
📈 After the celebrity game we’ve got The Rising Stars game at 9 pm ET on ESPN and you can watch guys like Brandon MIller, Jabari Smith Jr., Victor Wembanyama, Paolo Banchero, Scoot Henderson, Chet Holmgren and other battle is on the court in a 3-game mini tournament.
Saturday
Saturday is where the fun gets dialed up. Here’s what we got starting at 8 pm ET on TNT.
🏀 Things start with the Kia Skills Challenge. It’s Team Pacers vs two other teams.
🏀 The 3-point competition follows up the skills challenge. We’ll have a shootoff between Malik Beasley, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, Lauri Markkanen, Donovan Mitchell, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Trae Young.
🏀 Then we get a special treat where the WNBA’s Sabrina Ionescu and Steph Curry battle it out in their own 3-point competition.
🏀 The events finally finish up with the Slam Dunk Contest. BOOM!
Floating On The Ice
Things seem different since the all-star break, and the push for playoffs is real. Dudes are floating on ice, and the goal total is about as high as the clouds in the sky. We had five games with 9 or more goals last night and only two games decided by just 1 goal. Thursday night was a wild one. Let’s get through these faster than you’d want your bag skate to be finished.
🏒 The Seattle Kraken beat the Boston Bruins on the Bruins home ice 4-1.
🏒 The Florida Panthers shut out the Buffalo Sabres in the Sabre’s home arena. Carter Verhaeghe scored two goals in 4-0 win.
🏒 The Toronto Maple Leafs snuck a 4-3 win past the Philadelphia Flyers. Auston Matthews scored a hattrick for the Leafs, scoring 3 goals in an 8-minute portion of the 2nd period.
🏒 The Tampa Bay Lightning showed some sparks last night as they defeated the Colorado Avalanche in South Florida 6-3. The Lightning had 2 goals from Nikita Kurcherov, and they finished with two empty netters in the final minute.
🏒 The New York Rangers were a shell of themselves in the 1st period at MSG last night and were down 1-0 to the Montreal Canadiens. A little intermission did the Rangers well, and they would outscore the Habs 7-3 in the final two periods and get a hattrick from Chris Kreider.
🏒 I thought 11 goals in NYR/Montreal game was a lot, but the Dallas Stars blew this one out of the water. The Stars beat up the Nashville Predators 9-2 in the music city. Dallas had a 5-0 lead in the 2nd period, and the period would end with Dallas maintaining a 5-goal lead with a score of 7-2. Dallas scored two more goals early in the 3rd period.
🏒 There are a few more scores from last night. Check them out here.
Genesis Invitational
The PGA tour teed up the first round of the Genesis Invitational yesterday. Tiger Woods was still the guy to watch out there on the course, and he finished 1 over with an up-and-down round. Tiger finished with five birdies and six bogies after missing a few close putts. TIGER EVEN SHANKED A BALL ON THE LAST HOLE. He’s one of us!
No one is immune to the dreaded shank.
Not even Tiger Woods.— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR)

Patrick Cantlay is atop the leaderboard with a -7 round, and a few others trail behind at -6.
I’d recommend tuning in for the 2nd round to see how challenging this course is. Stream it all day on ESPN+ and then watch it on the Golf Channel from 4-8 pm ET.
