Good Morning y’all. This is The Daily Breakroom, we drop daily news stories to make you feel good, kind of like that one friend who lets you drop your golf ball in the fairway when you slice it into the woods(what a gem).

Let’s do this
Cleveland Browns Owner Buying Championships?
We have no idea where the saying came from, but you’ve heard it many times before. If you can’t beat them, join them. I guess that’s what Cleveland Browns owner, Jimmy Haslem and his sports group are attempting to do. Haslem and co. are looking to buy a 25% stake in the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks organization. The Bucks won the 2021 NBA Title and will continue to be competetive as long as they have Giannis.
If Haslem purchases a stake in the Bucks, it will be his 3rd professional sports team that he has ownership in. He owns Major League Soccer’s Columbus SC along with the Browns. While the Browns have been unable to achieve what every NFL team strives for, bringing home a Lombardi Trophy, the Columbus SC has given Haslem a championship, which came in 2020.
Play of the Day
It’s tough to choose a play of the day as there’s always some high-flying action in the NBA.
We could go with Ja Morant throwing down a nicely timed alley-oop dunk here.

But…..We’re going to give the play of the day to Jimmy Butler. Butler had a last second game winner on an inbound play with 0.7 seconds left. This play had a lot of things going for it.
✔️Great play design
✔️ Excellent inbound pass
✔️ Beautiful finish
that inbounds play 🔥

Dividends in NYC, Not on Wall St.
The big news of the NHL this week was a trade between the New York Rangers and the St. Louis Blues. The Rangers sent forward Sammy Blais, a defenseman prospect, and a couple of picks to St. Louis in return for defenseman Niko Mikkola and the talented Vladimir Tarasenko.
The trade is already paying off, with Tarasenko scoring a goal on his first shot as a Ranger in last night’s 6-3 win vs the Seattle Kraken. Check it out.
WELCOME TO THE TARASENKSHOW.

Super Bowl 57 Odds
Looking to gamble responsibly on the game tomorrow night. Here’s a few bits of info from a SportsLine simulation model.
Let’s start with the odds.

SportsLine has a model that ran 10,000 simulations of the matchup. Here’s what it shows.
ATS: Chiefs cover in 51% of simulations
Money Line: Chiefs win outright in 50% of simulations. Chiefs get you a better expected value with the +104
Over/Under: The score comes in Under 50.5 in 58% of simulations.
Why aren’t we listing expert opinions? Because everyone seems really confused, or they just agree with the simulations. Experts are seemingly splitting the decision 50/50. This Super Bowl doesn’t feel as lopsided as previous ones. Both teams were #1 seeds in the conference and they each had a 14-3 regular season record. The one stat that really sticks out to me is the Eagles have faced on average the #24 QB this season(thanks to the Russillo show the stat). The Eagles D is stout but I’m not sure they’ve faced an offense ass dangerous as the Chiefs and it’s hard to count out Patrick Mahomes. Want my pick?
I think….
Chiefs win 28-24.
Have a great Saturday!
