Cleveland Showing The Love
Howdy! This is the Daily Breakroom. We’re the daily sports newsletter that can definitely get more buckets than Kevin Huerter in a 3 point shooting contest.
How are we going to kick off a Sunday? We’ll tell you!

Here we go.
Sundays with Tiger
Sundays are always better with Tiger Woods. Tiger went 4 under for a 67 in Saturday’s round at the Genesis Invitational. This was his best scoring round since 2020. This -4 round brings him into the final day tied at 26th. We’ll see if he can close out his tournament strong, although a top finish is out of reach with John Rahm sitting in 1st at 15 under and Max Homa in 2nd at 12 under.
Tune in to The Golf Channel from 1-3pm EST and CBS from 3-6pm EST to watch the final round action.
Cleveland Showing Some Love
Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed and finalized a contract buyout for five time all star, Kevin Love. Love has been a big part of the Cavs organization for 9 seasons but his performance has declined this year. He is averaging career lows this season and his time on the court is limited.
The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers are interested in signing Love as he could be the dynamic forward they need. The Los Angeles Lakers are also trying to join the chat, which isn’t a surprise as LeBron and Love were teammates on a 2016 championship winning team in Cleveland.
Michigan Comes Together
Michigan State had a moment of normalcy on Saturday after suffering a tragic week where 3 students were killed by and on campus shooter. The university shut down and put a pause on athletic activities. Last night the Michigan State Spartans traveled to rival school to take on the Michigan Wolverines. The Michigan Wolverines community and student body gave the Spartans a warm welcome.
Michigan State ended up falling short on the scoreboard as Michigan outscored them in the final minutes of the 2nd half to win 84-72.

Outdoor Hockey
The NHL took the ice outside and under the lights this weekend as the Carolina Hurricanes hosted the Washington Capitals in a nighttime Stadium Series matchup in Raleigh. The ice was set up in the NC State football stadium that hosted 57,000 hockey fans on Saturday. The Hurricanes took down the Capitals 4-1 in the outdoor matchup.
So freaking awesome. #StadiumSeries
