Happy Friday Y’all. We’re coming at you a little late on a Friday to give you a preview of College Football on Saturday. Before we get to that, we’ll discuss last night’s NFL game and MLB playoffs.

Thursday Night Football

Jacksonville Jaguars ^_(5-2) 31 | New Orleans Saints ^_(3-4) 24

📈 Jacksonville grabbed their 5th win of the season after Trevor Lawrence(20/29, 204 yards, 1 TD) sealed the deal with 3 minutes to go and threw a TD pass to Christian Kirk on a short field

📉Derek Carr(33/55, 301 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) can’t seem to avoid the mistakes after throwing a pick 6 in the 3rd quarter. That’s his 4th INT this season

💪 The Jags O-line didn’t give up any sacks during the game. They were giving up 2.5 sacks per game before last night

👉️Travies Etienne racked up some serious fantasy points after having 14 carries for 53 yards and 2 tuddies(22.7 points in full PPR)

👉️ It apparently pays more to just be really good if you’re not scoring touchdowns. Alvin Kamara scored better in fantasy than Etienne as Kamara had 17 carries for 62 yards and 12 receptions for 91 yards( 29 points in full PPR)

College Football Scoreboard

• Rice defeated Tulsa 42-10 in an American Conference game at Tulsa

• James Madison remains undefeated in the Sun Belt Conference after beating Marshall 20-9

MLB Playoffs

🔇 It was a quiet game with just one being scored in the 7th inning by both teams

🤾 Craig Kimbrel took over pitching in the bottom of the 9th for the Phillies and would allow a walk-off hit to shallow center.

ALCS (Series tied 2-2)

Houston Astros 10 | Texas Rangers 3

⏩️The Astros hit the fast-forward button to tie up the ALCS at 2 games each after they scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Alex Bregman would drive in 2 RBI and Yordan Alvarez would drive in the 3rd RBI of the inning

➕ The Astros decided to add more runs in the 4th inning after Alvarez had another RBI and Jose Abreu hit a massive 3-run homer.

🤯 Check this out. Ryne Stanek got the win for the Astros and he only threw 1 pitch in the game. Yup, he threw one pitch in the bottom of the 3rd and it turned into a double play. Houston scored 4 runs the next inning so the win goes to Stanek.

THE BIGGEST GAME OF SATURDAY

#7 Penn State @ #3 Ohio State

📺️ Gametime is set for Noon ET on FOX

🔑 Penn State is statistically one of the best defenses in all of college football right now. They are giving up the least amount of passing and rushing yards per game. Penn State has also been a turnover machine. If the Nittany Lions can pressure Kyle McCord they might be able to force Ohio State into some tough situations. Marvin Harrison Jr. will make big plays for the Buckeyes, the key is to limit them.

🔑Ohio State is going to need to win the battle at the line of scrimmage. Controlling the run game will open up the opportunities in the passing game. If Penn State can get pressure with 4 rushers, they’ll be able to add help over the top and reduce Harrison Jr.'s impact. McCord isn’t a run threat like previous Buckeye QBs and that takes an extra threat away that the Penn State defense doesn’t need to worry about

💰️Ohio State is a 5-point favorite at home and the O/U is 46. I’m taking Penn State +5 and the over. I think this is the first real offense Penn State is seeing and I think some points will be put up in this game.

#17 Tennessee @ #11 Alabama

📺️ 3:30 pm ET on CBS

👀 Both teams have 1 loss and Alabama will be looking to avenge a loss to the Volunteers in the previous season and the Crimson Tide are trying to keep their season alive in hopes of meeting Georgia (most likely) in the SEC Championship game.

🔑 Jalen Milroe’s legs are a major factor in this game as the ‘Bama line ranked 126th nationally in sacks allowed. The Tennessee defense is one of the best in the nation when it comes to sacks and this game will be decided at the line of scrimmage.

🏃Tennessee’s offense isn’t an air raid like it was last year, and they are one of the best on-the-ground teams in the country and the Bama D isn’t as stout as it has been in the years past.

💰️ Bama is giving 9 points to the Volunteers in this matchup and the O/U is 47.5. I think Bama wins but by no more than a touchdown. I’ll take Tennessee and the under.

#13 Ole Miss @ Auburn

📺️ 7 pm ET on ESPN

💰️ Auburn might be bad, but there is always a challenge on their home field. Ole Miss is a 6.5 favorite and the O/U is 55.5. I think you’ve got to pick Auburn to cover at home, but I would take the under in this one.

#16 Duke @ #4 Florida State

📺️ 7:30 pm ET on ABC

👀Both teams have been involved in some high-profile matchups this year and this one is no different. The Blue Devils need a win tomorrow night to keep their CFP hopes alive. Can they lose and still get into the ACC Championship? Sure thing. But they’re not making the CFP with two losses.

🔑One major key is Duke’s QB Riley Leonard who suffered a high ankle sprain last week. He’s still day-to-day so it’s uncertain if he’ll be on the field tomorrow. The rest of this game really comes down to understanding who Duke is really is. Is the defense really as good as it looks? The Blue Devils’ defense hasn’t given up more than 14 points all season. Florida State has looked really good at times but has also looked beatable at many times. I think the FSU will be too much to handle come the 2nd half, especially if Riley Leonard doesn’t play for Duke

💰️ The current spread is FSU -14.5 and the O/U is 49.5 I’d probably stay away but if I had to choose, I’d take FSU and the under. I think this could be a 10-6 game at halftime but then FSU runs away and wins 31-6.

#14 Utah @ #18 USC

📺️ 8 pm ET on FOX

🌴 We keep getting treated with totally tubular Pac-12 matchups and I’m here for it, Dude.

🔑USC just got their face kicked in by Notre Dame and Utah is back on track after suffering a loss to Oregon St. two weeks ago. We could go on and on about Caleb Williams and also the offensive weakness of Utah but I think there’s one plain and simple fact. The USC defense hasn’t been able to shut teams down and close out games.

💰️ I’ll be picking Utah as +7 underdogs in this game and I’ll take the under at 53.5.
