Division Leaders Facing Off
Good Morning. There’s one thing we like about Sundays and that’s more football! I hope you didn’t sleep on Saturday’s games because there were some performances as rough as 100-count cotton sheets. Here’s the thing though. We want to keep this under 5 minutes so we’re going to cover NFL games today and then we’ll recap the weekend of football tomorrow.
Let’s go.
NFL Sunday
If you didn’t know, Baltimore and Tennessee are playing in London at 9:30 a.m. ET today, so you can flip on NFL Network if you have it.
We’re going to dig into a few games but not all of them. If you’re looking for a full NFL schedule, check it out here.
Washington Commanders @ Atlanta Falcons
📺️ Gametime is 1 pm on CBS
👀 These aren’t the worst teams in their division and both teams are exceeding expectations so far. A win for either team is going to go a long way. I think the Falcons rushing game is going to be the difference-maker today
💰️ Falcons are 2.5-point favorites at home and the O/U is 42.5. I’m taking Atlanta and the over.
San Francisco 49ers @ Cleveland Browns
📺️ Gametime is 1 pm on FOX
👀 The 49ers are ROLLING and the Browns don’t have Deshaun Watson today. I’m not overthinking this one.
💰️ 49ers are giving 9.5 points in this one and I’m taking them. Let the Brock Purdy show continue.
New England Patriots @ Las Vegas Raiders
📺️ Gametime is 4:05 on CBS
👀 One of these teams has to win, so I guess that makes it interesting? We’re just watching this game to see the Josh McDaniels vs Bill Belichick matchup. Mac Jones might have a short leash today but this Pats offense can’t be any worse than they’ve been in the last few weeks.
💰️ The Pats are underdogs and are getting 3 points. I don’t think Belichick is turning this thing around this season, but I think the Patriots get the job done today. They’re my pick at +3.
Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Jets
📺️ Gametime is 4:25 on FOX
👀 The Eagles are good. We know this. Let’s talk about the Jets. Zach Wilson has been struggling and sure, he played well in one game this season but the Jets are probably going to be down and the Eagles defense doesn’t give up big run plays so Breece Hall likely won’t be making a crazy impact today. That means the Jets will be trying to come from behind and it will be tough with Wilson under center.
💰️ The Jets are getting 6.5 points at home and the O/U is 42.5. A lot of analysts like the under today and there’s one bet lots of people are talking about. The first-half line is Eagles -3. That -3 is the number to focus on because the Jets start slow and the Eagles seem to be leading by a touchdown at halftime every game.
Detroit Lions @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
📺️ Gametime is 4:25 on FOX
👀 We’ve got two teams leading their division but I think one is much better than the other. Hint, hint.. It’s the Lions. One thing to note is the Bucs are coming off a bye week and Mike Evans is returning to the lineup after being sidelined with a hamstring injury.
💰️ Detroit is a 3-point favorite on the road and the O/U is 42.5. I’m taking the Detroit ATS and I’m not touching the O/U here.
New York Giants @ Buffalo Bills
📺️ Gametime is 8:20 pm on NBC
👀 Tyrod Taylor is starting for the Giants today after Daniel Jones is out and Saquon Barkley should be ready to go tonight. Even so, there’s one reason I’m watching this game and it’s to see how bad things can get. Giants HC Brian Daboll is heading back to his old stomping ground and will want his team to play well against the Bills.
💰️ The Bills are giving the Giants 15 points ATS. This is a massive number and one you should probably stay away from. The O/U is 44. I’m taking the over in this game. The Bills should come out strong after losing to the Jags in London last week. I think the Giants will score their first driver and then get some late touchdowns so I think the 15 points are just too high to judge.
That’s all for today. Enjoy the games and we’ll be back tomorrow morning with a football recap.
REMEMBER…
Don’t let your Mondays ruin your Sundays!
