Draft Day In Detroit
Have you been seeing all the ads with NFL Commish Roger Goodell and rapper Eminem? The NFL can’t fool us! We know Goodell is still a weirdo, but that’s not neither here nor there. Although we can’t wait to see Goodell dapping up the young studs on stage.
What is here is the first round of the NFL Draft. Let’s take a closer look at Draft Day and then we’ll dig into some more playoffs.
NFL Draft
The NFL Draft kicks off at 8 p.m. tonight, live from Detroit, Michigan! The event will last three days. Here’s the schedule.
• Round 1: Thursday, April 25, 8 pm
• Rounds 2-3: Friday, April 26, 7 pm
• Rounds 4-7: Saturday, April 27, Noon
What do the first-round picks look like for today?
Barring any trades later in the day, this will be the draft order.

The overall consensus is that Caleb Williams, QB from USC, will be the first play selected in the draft by the Chicago Bears.
It seems more probable than not that the Washington Commanders will select Jayden Daniels, a quarterback from LSU, with the second pick.
The Patriots have the Third pick, and they could take WR Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State or QB Drake Maye from North Carolina. Marvin Harrison could be a franchise-changing WR, but Drake Maye could infuse the organization with some energy that it hasn’t had since Tom Brady left.
Other than Caleb Williams going first in the draft, it’s hard to know what will happen. Plenty of people try to figure out exactly how this thing will go down, so if you want to dig into things more, check out these mock drafts by various analysts.

Daniel Jeremiah (NFL)

Danny Kelly (The Ringer)
📺️ The draft will be on ESPN, ABC, and ESPN+. We hope your favorite teams get whatever pick you want. As a Cowboys fan, I know Jerry Jones is likely to F this up.
NBA Playoffs
The playoffs gave us a little surprise last night. We had something unexpected, and then the expected happened. It was a flip-flop from the other night.
Boston Gets Upset At Home
🏀 The Miami Heat upset the Boston Celtics last night in Boston. Get this: Boston was practically unbeatable at home in the regular season, winning 37 of their 41 home contests. Last night, the Heat shot 53% from 3. Caleb Martin was 5 of 6, Tyler Herro was 6 of 11, and all of the Heat starters scored double digits.
The Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown had a great night where Tatum scored 28 and Brown dropped 33 but the rest of the starters cominbined for just 27 points.
Miami is not the team you want to give hope to because Erik Spoelstra will find a way to exploit you, especially after stealing a win on the road.
Series is tied 1-1, and game 3 is in Miami
OKC Shows Why They Are The 1 Seed
🏀 OKC did not play their best in game one against the Pelicans the other day. In fact, they just nearly snuck by with a win. You could chalk it up to the fact that the team is young and doens’t have much playoff experience and I think it’s partially due to the fact that playoff ball is a little more physical.
That was no problem last night as the Thunder routed the Pelicans 124-92 and now leads the series 2-0. Without Zion Williamson to help defend for New Orleans, Chet Holmgren dropped 26 points only to be bested by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 33.
It was exactly the performance you wanted to see from the Thunder, now only if I can stop seeing the damn “what a pro wants, what a pro needs” commercial by Shai and Chet.
Game 3 is heading to New Orleans.
NHL Playoffs
At Least One Boston Team Won Last Night
🏒 The Boston Bruins took on the Toronto Maple Leafs in game 3 of the first round of playoffs. The Leafs stole a win on the road in game 2, and Boston knew that you couldn’t give Toronto any advantage in game 3.
💪 Brad Marchand showed why he was the captain and put the Bruins on his back last night. Marchand may have gotten away with a penalty here or there, but with the game tied up 1-1 after two periods, he assisted Jake DeBrusk on a power play goal in the opening 67 seconds of the 3rd period. After Tyler Bertuzzi tied it up back up for the Leafs with 8:35 to go on the ice, Marchand scored a goal just 28 seconds later. He then sealed the deal with an empty netter. It was a 3-point night for the Captain.
Bruins leads the series 2-1 and game 4 remains in Toronto.
The Worst Matchup You Could Have
🏒The Dallas Stars were on the of the best teams in the NHL all season and while having home ice advantage all the way through teh conference finals is what you want, you still need to get out of the first round.
Well, the defending Champs are making that tough on Dallas as the Vegas Golden Knights have taken the opening two games on the road and now head back home to Vegas with a 2-0 lead in the series.
It was an impressive win with impressive play from Jonathan Marchessault and Jack Eichel. Vegas won 3-1 after Eichel assisted Marchessault in the first, and Marchessault returned the favor to Eichel in the 3rd. Noah Hanifin scored an unassisted goal for Vegas in the 2nd.
This Is What Playoff Hockey Is All About
🏒The LA Kings and Edmonton Oilers had a battle last night. Edmonton would fall behind quickly in this game after getting outscored 3-1 in the first period. No worries for the Oilers, though, as they remained calm and scored 2 of their own in the second to tie it up.
There was a goal by each team early in the third, and this would remain tied and would require overtime. Leave it to none other than Anze Kopitar to score the game-winner for LA in OT. LA would win 5-4 and game 3 will head to LA with the series tied 1-1.
THE CAPTAIN WINS IT ✅
@AnzeKopitar scores just 2:07 into @SportChek overtime as the @LAKings draw even in the series! #StanleyCup

What’s On TV Today
PGA Tour
⛳️The Zurich Classic tees off in New Orleans today and this something fans wish we could see more of. We’ve got a special format where there is team golf, and the scoring is different. Eighty, 2-player teams compete, with days 1 and 3 being four ball and days 2 and 4 being alternate shots.
Four ball is just playing your own ball the entire hole and whoever has the best score is the one you use. Alternate shot is just how it sounds: one player tees off, and then the players rotate who hits the ball until it ends up in the hole.
📺️ You can stream the action all day today on ESPN+ and then watch it on the Golf Channel from 3:30-6:30 pm.
