As some english dude might say..

Oy Bruv…let’s talk some footie transfers…. (please use your best(or worst) english accent when saying this in your head)

But we ain’t talking about that footie.

We are talking about NFL Free Agency!

Let’s jump into the frenzy and then finish up with some scores.

NFL Free Agency

We gotta go rapid-fire to make this work, so stick with us.

Quarterbacks

🏈 The biggest story from free agency is probably Kirk Cousins signing with the Atlanta Falcons on a 4-year deal worth $180 million.

🏈 The Jets have signed Tyrod Taylor to a two-year $18 million deal.

🏈 Gardner Minshew, everyone’s favorite backup in the league, is heading to the Las Vegas Raiders for two seasons and $25 million.

🏈 The Vikings didn’t resign Kirk so instead they got Sam Darnold for one year and $10 million.

🏈 Baker Mayfield is resigning with the Bucs. They’ve reached an agreement on a three-year $100 million deal.

Runningbacks

🏈 Saquon Barkley didn’t even get an offer to return to the NY Giants but the Philadelphia Eagles decided to give him a three-year deal worth $38 million.

🏈 Josh Jacobs has departed from the Raiders and will be a Green Bay Packer on a deal that pays him $12 million annually for four years!

🏈 Tony Pollard will be on the Tennesse Titans as he’s signing a three-year $24 million deal

🏈Similar to Saquon, Aaron Jones has left his team (GB Packers) and is joining a division rival. Jones will be signing with the Minnesota Vikings on a one-year, $7 million deal.

🏈 If Caleb Williams goes #1 to the Bears, he’ll have an excellent weapon in the backfield. D’Andre Swift is signing with the Bears on a three-year deal worth $24 million.

🏈Austin Ekeler is heading across the country from LA to DC. Ekeler is signing a 2-year deal with the Washington Commanders worth up to $11 million.

🏈 Gus Edwards will travel almost in the exact opposite direction of Ekeler. Edwards is heading to LA to take over for Ekeler as the Chargers RB. There will be some continuity for Edwards as he played for John Harbaugh in Baltimore and now he’ll be playing for Jim Harbaugh.

🏈 Zack Moss has flipped from the Indianapolis Colts to the Cincinnati Bengals

Wide Receiver

🏈 Gabe Davis is moving on the Buffalo Bills and will be a Jacksonville Jaguar in 2024 and beyond. Davis is signing a three-year deal worth $39 million.

🏈 Tee Higgins was franchised and tagged by the Bengals.

🏈 Other free agent receivers include Calvin Ridley, Marquise Brown, Darnell Mooney, Curtis Samuel, Odell Beckham Jr., Tyler Boyd, and Josh Reynolds

Tight End

🏈 The New England Patriots are resigning Hunter Henry on a three-year, $27 million deal.

🏈The Seattle Seahawks are resigning Noah Fant to a two-year, $21 million deal.

🏈 Other TEs waiting to be signed are Mike Gesicki, Gerald Everett, and Logan Thomas

O-Lineman

🏈 The Giants are trying to secure more protection for Daniel Jones. They signed OT Jermaine Eluemunor for a two-year $14 million deal. They also added Jon Runyan, who can play guard from either side, but we don’t have contract details yet.

🏈 The Patriots are likely drafting a QB with the 3rd pick this year so they might as well protect him. They resigned Mike Onwenu on a three-year deal worth $57 million

🏈In an effort to keep Aaron Rodgers healthy, the Jets have signed John Simpson to a two-year deal worth up to $18 million.

🏈 The Rams are spending some $$ on their o-line. They’re resigning Kevin Dotson on a three-year $48 million and have signed Jonah Jackson on a three-year $51 million deal.

Defensive Lineman

🏈Marcus Davenport has signed as an edge rusher with the Detroit Lions on a one-year deal.

🏈 The 49ers aren’t resigning Chase Young, but they did add Leonard Floyd to the squad as a pass rusher. Floyd is signing a deal for two years and $20 million.

🏈As a Michigan fan who also hates the Eagles, I can’t help but still be excited for Brandon Graham, who has resigned with the Eagles for one more year!

🏈The Raiders continued their busy opening day of free agency by signing Christian Wilkins as a DT on a 4-year deal worth $110.

🏈 The Seahawks are resigning DT Leonard Williams

Linebackers

🏈Frankie Luvu is traveling a few miles up the East Coast as he has signed a deal with the Washington Commanders after playing for the Panthers. Luvu will be signing a 3-year, $36 million deal.

🏈 The Miami Dolphins suffered at the LB spot last year after some injuries, and they’re working to improve that position. They have signed Jordyn Brooks from the Seahawks on a 3-year $30 million deal.

🏈 The Chiefs continue to reinvest in their defense have resigned LB Drue Tranquill to a three-year $19 million deal.

🏈 A few linebackers left on FA are Devin White, Bobby Wagner, Willie Gay Jr., Anfernee Jennings, and Tyrel Dodson.

Secondary

🏈There are a ton of corners waiting to be signed, but one notable signing is the Titans giving Chidobe Awuzie a 3-year $36 million deal after he was on the bench for part of the season in Cincinnati.

🏈 The Packers have signed Xavier McKinney as a safety on a four-year $68 million deal.

🏈 Geno Stone had seven interceptions last year for the Ravens. He’ll attempt to do it again this year in the same division just on a different team. Stone is signing a two-year, $15 million deal with the Bengals.

🏈Safeties and corners that have yet to be signed include names like Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Jordan Fuller, Jordan Whitehead, Quandre Diggs, Tre’Davious White, Adoree’ Jackson, Kendall Fuller, and Kenny More.

NBA Rapid Fire
