Florida Gators Clap Back
Today's Estimated Reading Time: 3 Minutes and 7 seconds
Good Morning. We hope you all had a fantastic weekend. We’ll do a little recap of some of yesterday’s events and we’ll talk a little about the Women’s World Cup and Antonio Brown is back in the news.
Here we go.
College World Series
The Florida Gators clapped back against the LSU Tigers in game 2 of the CWS.
The Gators lost game 1 in 4-3 in OT on Saturday night but Sunday afternoon was an entirely different story. Florida was down 3-1 after two innings but the Gators got the offense moving in the 3rd inning and the runs kept pouring in. 6 runs here another 5 there and so on. Florida dominated the final seven innings and won 24-4.
Game 3 plays tonight and it’s winner take all. The first pitch is set for 7 pm ET and you can watch on ESPN.
LSU is -145 to win and Florida is +115. Over/under is 9 runs.

Keegan Bradley Gets Redemption
Keegan Bradley had a rough outing last week at the US Open when missed the cut. Lucky for him, he got to spend some quality time with his family and he took his kids mini golfing. The mini golf paid off because he was great with the putter this weekend in Cromwell, CT.
Bradley went into the final round on Sunday with the lead and he did his part to stay in the lead. He started off with 3 birdies in the first six holes and did enough to keep the lead and win by 3 strokes. This is a special win for Bradley as he grew up coming to watch this event with his family when he was a young boy.
Also, we always like to mention. Keegan won $3.6 million with this one. NICE!
Mets Hand The Phillies A Win
We will make this one quick for all of you Mets fans out there. The NY Mets had a 6-3 lead over the Philadelphia Phillies before heading into the bottom of the 8th in Sunday’s matchup.
The Mets gave up 4 runs on just one hit in the inning and it happened just as you would expect.. in Mets’ fashion.
The Mets walked the Phillies 3 times, hit two batters, and had an error in a 10-batter, four-run inning.
Classic!
Women’s World Cup
The Women’s World Cup is less than a month away. It’s taking place in Australia and New Zealand and obviously, the United States are big contenders to defend as current Cup Champions.
That’s going to be a little difficult as the USWNT will be without their Captain Becky Sauerbrunn. After suffering a foot injury in April, she will not be traveling with the squad, it was confirmed on Wednesday as the official 23-player roster for the World Cup was announced.
We’ll have more on this leading up to the event which is set to kick off on July 20.
All Publicity Is Good Publicity, Right?
Antonio Brown is back in the headlines after he reportedly reversed paychecks for the players and coaches of the Albany Empire. The Empire is an Arena Football League team that Brown purchased back in April and has been a news headline ever since.
The league just kicked out the team after it was tumultuous few months with Brown at the helm as the team owner. This is the latest fiasco as he apparently paid players their checks and then had the banks reverse it a few days later. The players and coaches are filing a class action lawsuit against Brown.
We’re sure this won’t be the last time we hear about Antonio Brown in the news.
Have yourself a week!
