Today’s Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes and 26 seconds
Good Morning. This is the Daily Breakroom and we deliver news that hits hard and fast, but maybe not as hard as Matt Tkachuk can hit.
Here’s what we got today:
🏒 Stanley Cup Update
🎸 Is Taylor Swift Cursing The NBA
🏀 LeBron Heading To The Mavs?
🏈 Gambling Issues
Let’s get to it.
Stanley Cup Finals
Jonathan Marchessault started the Vegas Golden Knights off with an early goal against the Florida Panthers in the first period of game 2. Marchessault’s goal was the spark the Knights need as scored 3 more unanswered goals over the first two periods.
The Florida Panthers were able to grab a quick goal in the first 15 seconds of the third period but Vegas would answer back with 2 more goals, making the lead 6-1. Matthew Tkachuk would score for the Panthers before being ejected and Vegas would grab another goal on a powerplay in the last 3 minutes of the game.
Vegas takes the lead 2-0 in the best-of-seven series with a 7-2 home win.
Curious about that Tkachuk hit we reference in the opener? Check it out.

Is Taylor Swift a Playoff Curse?
To all those NBA Fans, the reason your team loses in the playoffs is not you. It’s her, she’s the problem, it’s her.
We all love our sports conspiracies and this might be the freshest and bestest one. It goes like this.
Atlanta played Boston in the first round of the playoffs and Taylor had a show coming up in ATL. Boom…. Atlanta is bounced from the playoffs
Next stop on the tour. Philly
Next stop for the playoffs… you guessed it.. Philly
Swift played 3 shows in Philadelphia and the 76ers lost in game 7, which Taylor played a show right after the loss
It gets better. The Celts lose the conference finals to the Heat and Taylor had 3 shows in Foxborough right after.
Now the Denver Nuggets are tied up 1-1 in the Finals and maybe they’ll be safe. Taylor doesn’t have shows in Denver until mid-July.
Is this all a coincidence? Only Taylor Swift and Adam Silver really know.
Is LeBron Heading To Dallas?
It’s been reported that Kyrie has made a call to LeBron pitching him to come to Dallas and join forces with himself and Luka Doncic and create another big 3 in the NBA.
Here’s the thing. There’s no way LeBron is leaving SoCal when his son is about to attend USC and he’s clearly trying to set himself up for bigger things in retirement. So what’s this all about?
Deandre Ayton was a potential trade candidate for the Suns to get Kyrie from the Mavs. With the Suns hiring Frank Vogel, Ayton is likely staying in Phoenix as Vogel works well with Centers. So what’s this really all about?
Is Kyrie planting a seed with LeBron in hopes that LeBron will try to get the Lakers’ front office to work some magic and rescue Kyrie from Dallas?
🤔 Something to think about!

Gambling Issues
You might not have a gambling problem, but the NFL sure does!
Indianapolis Colts CB Isaiah Rodgers is being investigated for possible violations of the league’s gambling policy. It appears that an account was opened under the name of an associate of Rodgers and approximately 100 bets were made and some were on Colts games. The $ amounts were usually low, $25-50 but there was at least four digit bet.
Rodgers has 1 year left on his rookie deal and it’s worth more than his gambling winnings would be(unless this dude has the sweetest parlay picked out).
The NFL just disciplined 5 other players in April for gambling violations. It’s a big league and hopefully, they aren’t just scratching the surface of violations.
