Be A Goldfish

Today’s Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes and 35 seconds

Good Morning, this is the Daily Breakroom and we’re the opposite of the greens at Augusta National, we’re an extremely easy read.

You can probably guess what we’re discussing today so let’s get right to it.

Masterful Finish

While many of you were likely donning some spring colors and spending time with family on Sunday, John Rahm was doing the same after his 1st Masters win(spoiler alert!), but his spring color had a greenish hue to it.

After play was suspended on Saturday due to storms, players took to the course Sunday morning to complete round 3 and move into the final round. John Rahm was trailing Brooks Koepka by 4 strokes with 30 holes left to play at the start of Sunday. With some great shots and some help from Koepka’s faulty play during the rounds, Rahm was able to erase the deficit and come out on top by 4 strokes.

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Rahm. After Rahm played his first few rounds in inclement weather and started his first hole of the tournament with a double bogey resulting from a 4 putt, he showed off his inner Ted Lasso by being a goldfish. It’s something he mentioned in 2021 after a tournament. Check out the Ted Lasso clip.

Also check out Rahm joking about his good buddy Zach Ertz jinxing him.

Congrats to John Rahm, the green looks good on him!

NBA Playoffs Are Set

The Western conference was finally settled last night. The Lakers were trying to find a way into the playoffs but the Clippers and Warriors handled their business on Sunday afternoon to secure their playoff spots.

The Clippers grabbed a nice 119-114 win over the Phoenix Suns. Although the Booker, Durant, and Paul didn’t play for the Suns, the Clippers still took care of business and have some momentum heading into playoffs.

The Golden State Warriors weren’t leaving their playoff clinching up to chance. They blazed a trail in Portland by scoring 55 points in the first quarter. The Warriors defeated the Trailblazers 157-101 and had 13 players score points including 6 who had double digits.

Sooo… playoffs are set and you’re wondering what the bracket looks like?

We got you!

NBA Drama

The Minnesota Timberwolves huddle got a little heated during their Sunday afternoon win vs the New Orleans Pelicans. Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson were trading frustrations with each other in the huddle, one telling the other to grab a rebound or block a shot and Gobert eventually had enough and started trying to trade blows. The team sent Gobert home mid game and we’re not sure if he’ll be available for their play-in game vs the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

We can’t forget to mention that Jaden McDaniels was upset that Gobert got sent home, decided to punch a wall and now has a fractured hand. So he’s definitely not available tomorrow.

That’s all for today. We’ll talk about some NFL moves and more NHL records being broken tomorrow.

Have a great start to the week.
