Hockey Players Are TOUGH
and maybe a little crazy
Today’s Estimate Reading Time: 2 minutes and 44 seconds
Good Morning. This is the Daily Breakroom. We’re just like apples. Get a daily dose of us and you’re set for the day. Except for Morgan Barron, he needs a lot of apples.
Since we’re in full playoff mode we’ll stick with scores and a few updates in the NBA and NHL.
Here we go.
NBA Playoffs
Tuesday Night Scoreboard
All of the higher seeds/home teams won in Tuesday night’s game 2s. Let’s check some scores.
Also just an FYI. Draymond Green of the GS Warriors is suspended for game 3 against the Kings for stepping on the chest of Domantas Sabonis.
Atlanta Hawks 106
Boston Celtics 119
Hawks started out strong but Celtics eventually ran away after the 1st quarters and the Hawks could only get it within 8 in the 4th
Tatum scored 29 for Celtics and Murray scored 29 for the Hawks
New York Knicks 90
Cleveland Cavaliers 107
The Knicks came out hot with Randle and Brunson hitting 3’s and the mid range jumpers. Knicks finished 36% from field and 24% from 3
Cleveland outplayed the Knicks on defense and also shot 42% from 3, hitting 14 from beyond the arc
Los Angeles Clippers 109
Phoenix Suns 123
Russell Westbrook was a nonfactor in game 1 on offense for the Clippers but scored 28 in game 2.
D-Book had a night with 38 points for the Suns. Chris Paul also contributed with 16, a much better output than game 1

NHL Playoffs
Winnipeg Jets’ center Morgan Barron is going to need a lot more than 1 apple a day. Barron suffered a wild injury during Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs when he landed awkwardly on the skate of the Vegas Golden Knights goalkeeper, cutting his face and needing 75 stitches. Of course he returned to the game for the Jets.
