🌭 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest 🌭
If you didn’t already know; Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual competitive eating event held on the 4th of July at Coney Island, New York. The contest involves the world’s best competitive eaters who are trying to consume as many hot dogs and buns as possible within a time limit of 10 minutes. The event has gained widespread attention and media coverage and has become a Fourth of July tradition, attracting large crowds and celebrating the spirit of competition and gluttony.
Joey “Jaws” Chestnut has won the contest in 15 of the past 16 years and he’ll be looking to win his 8th competition in a row today. The 10 highest dog totals in the event belong to Chestnut and he ate 76 hot dogs in 2021. He only managed 63 last year but he did have to tackle a protestor mid-competition. He’s a -4000 favorite in the contest today.
A bettor @DKSportsbook has placed $2K on Joey Chestnut (-4000) to win the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest tomorrow...
They'll cash $50 if it hits 😅

🏀 NBA News 🏀
Bucks Bring In Beasley
The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a one-year, $2.7 million deal with guard Malik Beasley.
Beasley, who is only 26 years old ranked fourth in the league in catch-and-shoot 3-point attempts despite playing less than 26 minutes per game and he shot 35.7% on all three’s last season.
Summer League Starts
Chet Holmgren had a positive outing at his summer league opener after not playing in a game for 11 months. The #2 overall pick in the 2022 draft had 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks in an Oklahoma City win.
Brandon Miller made his summer league debut after being drafted for #2 overall by the Charlotte Hornets in this year’s draft. Miller finished 18 points and scored some well-earned buckets but he did have 6 turnovers and 7 fouls. Not a bad showing for his first time on the NBA court.
This bucket by Brandon Miller was filthy 😮💨

⚾️ Injuries In Major League Baseball ⚾️
LA Dodgers
The Dodgers had to place Clayton Kershaw on the 15-day injured list yesterday as he’s been dealing with inflammation in his throwing shoulder. Kershaw can be reactivated as early as July 15 and he won’t be available to throw in the All-Star game which is his 10th time being selected
LA Angels
Mike Trout had to exit the game in a SoCal matchup where the LA Angels lost to the San Diego Padres last night. Trout fouled off a pitch and then quickly shook his wrist and would exit the game. He’s awaiting test results and will likely miss the All-Star game that he’s been selected to play in for the 11th straight time.
Mike Trout exits the game after an apparent injury during his 8th inning at bat.
