Random open today. My daughter is six months old. Shohei Ohtani is 29.5 years older than her. (He’s 30 people, do the math!). This is Ohtani’s seventh season in the league, and my six-month-old daughter will be able to “witness” his first-ever postseason in baseball. How is it possible that the man who hit 54 home runs and had 59 stolen bases this year has never reached the postseason?

Okay let’s skip all the analysis today and take a look at a full Saturday schedule in sports.

College Football

If there’s one good thing about conference realignment, it’s that you can catch a late-night Big 10 game now if it’s on the West Coast, and you can see an old Pac-12 team playing at Noon in the East. It’s a thing of beauty.

We’ve got a few big time top 25 matchups and another few matchups where quite frankly, I fear for the team on the other side of these “get right” matchups.

👀Here’s why we got eyes on this one. Iowa has a good defense and the offense is still meh. We want to see what Ohio State can do against a better team

Auburn @ #5 Georgia

📺️ Gametime is 3:30 on ABC

💰️ Georgia is favored by 22 points and the O/U is 52.5

👀 Is Auburn going to be in for a long day in Athens? How is Georgia going to respond after their tough loss to Bama just a week ago?

#12 Ole Miss @ South Carolina

📺️ Gametime is 3:30 on ESPN

💰️ Ole Miss is favored by 9 points and the O/U is 53.5

👀 Ole Miss was upset last week by Kentucky. How will Lane Kiffin and co respond? I think you can count them out of the college football playoff if they don’t respond well today.

In other news. The University of Miami is playing Cal in an ACC matchup. You know… just the Atlantic Coast Conference having a nice game between a team that is literally positioned on the Atlantic Ocean and a team that is on the Pacific. AND YES, IF YOU’RE WONDERING, THE MIAMI EQUIPMENT TRUCK HAS MADE IT TO BERKELEY, CA!

The Miami vs Cal game is kicking off at 10:30 pm and will be on ESPN.
