LeBounced From The Playoffs
Well, the Lakers somehow did it again, and the Nuggets did it again, all in the same game. We’ll explain more, but you might need to see it to believe it.
You know the drill with playoffs. Let’s get right to it.
You’ll be in and out in less than 4 minutes today.
NBA Playoffs
Nuggets Jamal Murray Bounces Lakers
Jamal Murray hit another game-winner, but instead of a buzzer-beater, he left the Lakers with 4 seconds left on the clock so they could make one last desperate attempt to keep their season going.
The Lakers did the thing again, but so did the Nuggets. The Lakers had a 9 point lead in this game, it wasn’t as big as the double digit leads they had in the previous four games, but 9 points is usually enough against anyone else. Just not the Denver Nuggets.
Things were pretty even in the 4th quarter, and if you don’t have time to watch any highlights we can tell you that the play-by-play is a lot of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic making shots. The biggest shot was obviously the previously mentioned two-pointer that Murray hit on the Nuggets’ last possession when the score was tied 106-106
LeBron had 30 on the night and he grabbed 9 rebounds and had 11 assists.
Jokic had 25 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 assists. Murray finished with 32 points, going 5 for 10 from beyond the arc.
Celtics are closer to knocking off the Heat, but at what cost?
The Boston Cetlics have been a much more complete team this year with a lot of thanks going to Kristaps Porzingis who is playing some of the best basketball in his career all while remaining healthy.
With the Celtics up 2-1 in their series against the Heat, during game 4 last night, Porzingis limped off the court with a calf injury before halftime. It appears that he did not suffer an Achilles injury, but he was in a walking boot after the game.
Even without Porzingis, the Celtics finished strong and won 102-88. Derick White scored 38, the team's highest score. Jayson Tatum added 20.
OKC Sweeps New Orleans
The Oklahoma City Thunder finished their 4-0 sweep of the New Orleans Pelicans and have earned a few extra days of rest. I guess those boys can grab a couple of Hurricanes and some gumbo and will still be fine for round 2, as the Mavs/Clippers series is tied 2-2.
OKC got the game 4 win thanks to Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 24 points each. Josh Giddey and Chet Holmgren both scored 14.
NHL Playoffs
Dallas gets another one back
We love these playoff stories when it comes to the NHL. Road wins are the best wins. The Vegas Golden Knights hit the road and stole both games in Dallas for games 1 and 2. It looked like it might be over for Dallas with games 3 and 4 being in Vegas, but nope…. Dallas won game 3 in overtime and then got a huge win in game 4 last night.
Tomorrow’s Game 5 is back in Dallas, and I’m not sure who the advantage goes to at this point. All I know is we have a playoff series.
Panthers finish off the Lightning with controversy!
Carter Verhaeghe and Aleksander Barkov scored 2 goals each for the Florida Panthers in a 6-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning to win the series 4 games to 1. The win didn’t come without controversy, though, as two goals for Tampa were overturned. Looking at the box score, you would think 2 goals don’t make the difference, but when it comes to momentum in the NHL, those 2 goals could MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
Check out what happened with the goals being overturned.
This would’ve been the first goal of the game.
NOPE. GOALIE INTERFERENCE... THIS ONE COMES OFF THE BOARD 👀

The 2nd goal was called off towards the end of the 2nd and it would’ve tied the game up 2-2.
This goal was WAIVED OFF for Cirelli being in the crease before the puck went in 👀
