In Season Tournament

New York Knicks 122 | Milwaukee Bucks 146

🏀 The Bucks dominated the Knicks in the quarterfinals of the in-season tournament. This might have been Milwaukee’s best offensive performance of the year since Damian Lillard has been on the team.

👉️ Milwaukee shot 60.4% from the field and shot .1% better from 3-point land at 60.5%. Giannis scored 35 points and Damian Lillard dropped 28. They were receiving so much attention Malik Besaley was able to help out with 18 and the Bucks had 3 other double-digit scorers.

👉️ The Knicks had a decent night on offense and Julius Randle, Jalen Burson, and RJ Barrett all finished with 41,24, and 23, respectively. The important question is, are the Knicks in the same class as the Bucks? The Knicks look like a playoff-caliber team but can they win the East? I think there’s still a missing piece to the puzzle.

Phoenix Suns 103 | LA Lakers 106

👀We can’t have a LeBron vs KD matchup and not have some controversy. The Lakers won this quarterfinal matchup but it took some help from the refs. The score was 105-103, the Lakers up with 13 seconds to go and the Suns trapped Lakers guard Austin Reaves. It looked like Austin Reaves was in trouble and LeBron called a timeout, but it looked like the ball was loose already.

🏀 Kevin Durant scored 31 for the Suns. Grayson Allen and D-Book both scored 21

🏀 Austin Reaves had some clutch shots during the game and scored an even 20. Anthony Davis had 27 points and 15 rebounds. LeBron scored 31 points including 15 in the 4th quarter and he recorded 11 assists and 8 rebounds.

#9 North Carolina 76 | #5 UConn 87

👉️ The Uconn Huskies defeated the Tar Heels of North Carolina in a top-10 matchup at MSG last night. The Huskies had a complete team game with Cam Spencer leading the way with 23 points and big man Alex Karaban scoring 18. The Tar Heels tried to keep up with UConn in the 2nd half anytime the Heels would start to get close, UConn would pull away once again.

👍️ There was some promising stuff from the Tar Heels who just need to do a better job finishing and cleaning up some free throw misses. They can be physical when needed and run the court too.

👀 Is this Husky team poised to repeat in the Tourney? UConn is winning these tough matchups and they aren’t even the healthiest they can be. Cam Spencer and Donovan Klingon are dealing with nagging foot injuries and UConn finished below 60% from the FT line.

Big East - Big12 Battle (Tonight)

#12 Texas @ #8 Marquette

📺️ 8 pm ET on FS1

👉️ We’ve got another top-ranked battle tonight with the Big 12’s #12-ranked Texas traveling to Milwaukee to face #8 Marquette. OT Tuesday In the NHL

We had 3 of the 8 games from last night finish in OT or a shootout. Check out the rest of the results from last night.

🏒 The LA Kings grabbed a road win against the Columbus Blue Jackets after being down 3-0 heading into the 3rd period. LA would score 3 goals in the first 7 minutes of the 3rd and Drew Doughty would score the OT winner in the first 33 seconds of extra time.

🏒 Another Pacific Coast team, The San Jose Sharks, would have an epic comeback in the 3rd period and OT. The NY Islanders had a 4-1 lead over the Sharks with 8 minutes to go in the game and the Sharks would score 3 goals in that time, including 2 from Tomas Hertl. Hertl would finish with a hat trick and William Eklund would score the game-winner for the Sharks with 5 seconds left in OT.

🏒 The Chicago Blackhawks are 3-6-1 at home this season and the woes didn’t stop last night against the Nashville Predators. Chicago had a lead in the game, twice, but couldn’t hold on. This game would go into OT tied 3-3 and would head to a shootout where the Preds would get the win and 2 points on the road.

Michael Jordan vs. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

You often hear that Michael Jordan is the greatest competitor of all time. My thought is that Michael MIGHT be the greatest competitor of all time, or it might just be that he is known for winning and also being a fierce competitor. I always wonder who might be the most competitive person on the planet.. is it a random dude at the YMCA playing pickup? Is it Pete Weber, the professional bowler who doesn’t know who you think you are, but he is? Is it your brother when you’re beating him in FIFA?

I THINK I FOUND THE ANSWER. THE GREATEST COMPETITOR OF ALL TIME IS FLORIDA GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS.

This dude will fight state education systems, he’ll take on any battle with the former President Trump or the current President, and he’s even trying to battle it out with Disney.

Nothing can get in the way of DeSantis’ competitive spirit, not even the College Football Playoff committee.

Yesterday, DeSantis was detailing his $114.4 billion budget for the state of Florida and said he was asking for $1 million to let FSU sue the college football committee even though the budget will be approved after the College Football Championship is played.

"My first-grader, my fifth-grader and my preschooler ... they are all 'Noles, and they are big-time fans, and they do the tomahawk chop, and they were not happy," DeSantis said. "We are going to set aside $1 million and let the chips fall where they may."

I don’t care and I certainly don’t need to know what your political beliefs are…. but here’s what I do know…..

BALL IS LIFE.

GOOD DAY!

-The Daily Breakroom

p.s. I hope FSU beats Georgia so DeSantis can help FSU claim a National Title.
