+ NFL Sunday Preview

It’s Good Morning (for everyone who roots against Michigan). Let’s jump right into this before we get to the NBA and our NFL Sunday preview.

You’ve probably heard the news by now; The Big 10 has ruled that Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh cannot coach his team on Saturdays for the next 3 weekends. Yup, that includes today’s matchup vs Penn State, next week vs. Maryland, and then the final regular season matchup where Michigan will attempt to beat Ohio State for the 3rd straight year.

The Big 10 is allowing Harbaugh to coach his team during the week at practice and said this isn’t a Harbaugh punishment, it’s an institutional punishment and Harbaugh is the head coach who is just receiving the discipline. What’s funny about the punishment is the Big 10 waited until the end of the day on Friday to hand down the punishment and Michigan tried to get a temporary restraining order filed in court so he could coach today. Michigan and Harbaugh were unable to do so and the courts won’t rule on anything on the weekend. This is Big 10 being sneaky, for sure.

The Big 10 hasn’t concluded their investigation of Michigan’s sign sealing scandal but the conference “believes Michigan committed violations this season and it was appropriate to impose punishment now”.

I’m not sure if anyone understands how sports work, but if Harbaugh shouldn’t have been suspended, the Big 10 can’t reschedule these games.

Michigan is a team full of studs and will likely have the most draft picks from any college team this year. The Big 10 just added more fuel to Michigan’s fire. I hope the Nittany Lions can land on their feet today.

NBA In-Season Tournament

We talked about this over the summer as it was approved by the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association. The in-season tournament kicked off last week and will be running through Dec 9. The NBA brought this tournament in to keep up the competition during the early months of the league when many players do load management. For the next few weeks, all the games that are played on Tuesdays and Fridays are part of the tournament, so look out for your teams on those days.

Here’s a guide to the tournament and here are last night's scores.

NFL Sunday Preview

It’s week 10 in the NFL and we’ll have some unwatchable games and some that are interesting. Let’s go through them and talk about some bets.

The first unwatchable game is actually watchable because we’re all looking for more football in our lives. The Indianapolis Colts are “visiting” the New England Patriots, but really the two teams are facing off in Germany. The game is set for 9:30 am ET and will be on on the NFL Network.

What are the other watchable games?

Cleveland Browns (5-3) @ Baltimore Ravens (7-2)

📺️ 1 pm ET on FOX

👀 The Ravens offense and defense are firing on all cylinders and they might be the best team in the league right now. Can the Browns D-line get enough pressure on Lamar Jackson? We haven’t seen Lamar run as much as normal this year, but this could be the game where he uses his feet to keep the offense on the field.

💰️ Baltimore is favored by -6.5 points and the O/U is 38.5

Detroit Lions (6-2) @ LA Chargers (4-4)

📺️ 4:05 pm ET on CBS

👀 We’re still not sure what Detroit is. Are they a legit team with elite capabilities or are they just really good against okay teams? The Chargers offense has struggled against good fronts but has done very well against bad defenses. The Chargers also ranked near the bottom in yards per attempt on defense. On paper, I think the Lions are too much of a matchup on both sides of the ball for the Chargers. Of course, being better on paper doesn’t do much and that’s why you play the games.

💰️ The Lions are 3-point favorites on the road and the O/U is 48.5. You didn’t get this from me but I think that’s quite a favorable number for the Lions.

Houston Texans (4-4) @ Cincinnati Bengals (5-3)

📺️ 1 pm ET on CBS

👀 CJ Stroud is off to an amazing rookie season with the Texans and the Bengals’ offense is finding their stride after getting off to a rough start. Joe Burrow looks healthy and that could be dangerous for the Texans. I’m curious to see how Stroud plays against a very good Bengals defense.

💰️ Cincinnati is favored by -6.5 and the O/U is 46.5

Washington Commanders (4-5) @ Seattle Seahawks (5-3)

📺️ 4:25 pm ET on FOX

👀 Washington just traded away two of their top D-linemen and they’re now facing what can be lethal Seahawks offense at times. Seattle does have a winning record but a negative point differential on the season, thanks partially to a massive 337-3 loss against Baltimore last week. Seattle does have a better defense than they showed against the Ravens and I think that will be the difference-maker for tomorrow’s result.

💰️ Seattle is a 6-point favorite and the O/U is 44.5 I think 6 points is a little aggressive here.

💰️ Check out The Score’s Best Bets Of The Week, but don’t blame me for any losses!

That’s all for today. Enjoy all the college games and your NFL games tomorrow.

FYI, we might not send an email tomorrow, but a recap of the college games will still be posted on our site.

Cheers,
