Los Angeles Angels Scored How Many Runs? LOL
Today's Estimated Reading Time: 4 Minutes and 46 Seconds
Good Morning and Happy Sunday. What a day Saturday was for baseball. Some other action was sprinkled in throughout the day and we’re going to cover it all.
Vamos!
College Baseball World Series Game 1
If you haven’t watched any of the College World Series, we highly recommend that you do. These young dudes are out on the diamond swinging bats and slinging balls with their buddies and are having a blast whilst doing it.
These guys are hyped after big hits, big outs, and all-around 11/10 good vibes guys. If you watch, you’ll understand.
It was quite the SEC showdown in the CWS with a 3-3 tie at the end of 9 innings between the LSU Tigers and the Florida Gators. There were two extra innings and Cade Beloso popped a big homer over the right-field fence to give the Tigers the lead in the top of the 11th.
LSU closed it out in a 1,2,3 fashion in the bottom of the 11th, striking out the last two batters.
Everyone loves a home run at the end of the game, but the big story was the pitching for the Tigers, specifically Ty Floyd. He had 17 strikeouts in 8 innings. Think about that… he got 17 of the 24 outs needed to go through those innings with K’s. Helluva performance.
Check out the 11th-inning home run and come back today to watch game 2 at 3:00 pm ET on ESPN.
CADE BELOSO LEFT NO DOUBT ABOUT IT IN THE ELEVENTH 💪🐯

Major League Baseball
Los Angeles Angels at Colorado Rockies
We’re not even sure what to write here. Do we just leave the box score?

Yes, you are seeing that correctly. The LA Angels beat the Colorado Rockies 25-1 last night. This margin of victory is tied for the third-highest since 1900, behind Texas’s 30-3 victory over Baltimore in 2007 and Boston’s 29-4 victory over the St. Louis Browns in 1950.
How did it happen? The Angels had back to back to back home runs in the 3rd inning, scored some more runs, and then finished the inning out with another home run.
The 4th inning wasn’t much of a relief for the Rockies either. The Angels drove in some more runs and then capped the inning with a 3-run homer.
I hope those Rockies fans can get a refund for this one.
Houston Astros at LA Dodgers
What a battle it was in LA last night between the Astros and Dodgers. The Dodgers came out swinging in the first and had two homers to grab a quick 3-0 lead.
The Astros weren’t concerned. They drove a run in during the 3rd inning and then Alex Bregman would hit a grand salami in the 5th and the Astros would get one more run scored before the inning ended and they now have a 6-3 lead.
The Astros get another run on the board in the 6th with a sac fly and the Dodgers have been unable to get runs on the board the last few innings.
Enter the bottom of the 7th for LA. David Peralta homers to right field and brings in 2 runs. Now it’s 7-5, Astros still have the lead.
The 8th inning is where things get crazy. The Dodgers would score 2 runs off of a sac fly and a ground-rule double. It’s all tied up 7-7. We’ve got runners on 2nd and 3rd and you won’t believe what happens next. The umps called Ryan Stanek for a balk and it brought the game-winning run into home plate. WILD.
Check it out and let us know what you think.

Concacaf Golf Cup
The USMNT faced Jamaica in the group stage of the Concacaf Gold Cup last night it was a match that would raise your blood pressure. Jamaica took an early 1-0 lead and almost made it 2-0 before the end of the half. Brandon Vazquez would sub late in the 2nd for USA and he would score in the 88th minute to tie it up. Both teams played aggressively during the 7 minutes of stoppage time, but couldn’t cash in on their efforts. Both teams will receive a point for the tie.
INSTANT IMPACT
@fccincinnati's Brandon Vázquez comes on in the 82' and finds the equalizer for the @USMNT 🇺🇸

USFL Playoffs
The Pittsburgh Maulers defeated the Michigan Panthers 31-27 in a USFL semifinal matchup. The game was tied 27-27 at the end of regulation and went into overtime which is similar to a soccer or hockey shootout. Both teams get 3 opportunities to score a 2 point conversion. Pittsburgh converted on the first 2 and Michigan couldn’t convert so the game ended after 2 attempts.
The New Orleans Breakers face the Birmingham Stallions tonight at 7:00 pm ET on Fox. The winner of this game will face Pittsburgh in the USFL Championship.
Enjoy your day and remember…. Don’t let your Mondays ruin your Sundays!
