Go!

The Boston Marathon starts at 9:02am today and you can tune in for all the speed on ESPN. There are nearly 30,000 athletes competing today. That’s more than the total population of Hopkinton, the town where the starting line is.

Here are all the start times for the races.

The Boston Marathon is the world’s oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world’s most prestigious road racing events. Almost $900k is paid out in prize money and first place winners in the professional divisions win $150k.

The more impressive number is the amount raised for charity and nonprofits by organizations and invitational runners. This year’s field is on track to raise $40 million.

We hope you enjoy the action if you can. There will be half a million people in the city watching the runners compete.

The RBC Heritage

Matthew Fitzpatrick took home $3.6 million with a playoff win over Jordan Spieth at Harbour Town Golf Links. Spieth had a couple of opportunities to take home the win but had a putts rim out or just miss the cup by half an inch.

Fitzpatrick drove the dagger in when he nailed this approach shot on 18. Congrats to Fitzy and Spieth, both who played great rounds on Sunday.

NBA Sunday Scoreboard

Only one of four home teams got a win on Sunday in their series openers of the first round. Here are the scores.

MEM 112

LAL 128

  • Rui Hachimura scores 29 for the Lakers. If Lakers can stay healthy, they can make a run. Although a run to the finals will feel like a marathon for LeBron at his age.

MIL 117

MIA 130

  • Injuries make a difference. Giannis goes out with back injury and the Heat got hot.

PHX 110

LAC 115

  • Kahwi Leonard has exceptional night on offense scoring 38 and Russell Westbrook has an awesome night on the other side of the ball making big defensive plays all over the court

DEN 109

MIN 80

  • Denver holds Minnesota to lowest point total since 2016

We only have two game 2’s tonight.

The 76ers take on Brooklyn at 7:30pm on TNT.

The Golden State Warriors will try to capture a road win in Sacramento at 10:00pm on TNT

Yankees Get Their Money’s Worth

The New York Yankees are finally getting the value they expected out of ace Gerrit Cole. Cole is in his 4th year of a 9 year contract with the Yanks and he’s making $36 million this year.

Cole is off to a 4-0 start with a .95 ERA. He came up big with a 10-strikeout complete game shutout that helped get the Yanks a 2-0 win at Yankee Stadium on Sunday.

Have a great week!
