Here we go.

USA vs. Netherlands

The USA vs Netherlands matchup, which was a rematch of the 2019 World Cup Final, resulted in a draw last night. Both the USA and the Netherlands will receive 1 point and no one has secured a spot into the next round yet.

Jill Roord scored the first goal of the match for the Netherlands in the 17th minute and Lindsey Horan would score for the US in the 62nd minute off of a header.

The last 10 minutes of play were quite hectic and the US would have chance after chance to score goals but couldn’t execute.

Both teams have one more game in the group stage to determine who will move on to the next round.

There are three ways the US can advance to the round of 16.

  1. The US ties to Portugal on Tuesday

  2. The US beats Portugal

  3. The US loses to Portugal and Vietnam defeats Netherlands

  • The Angels acquire two RHPs from the White Sox and send Chicago catcher Edgar Quero and LHP Ky Bush

Last Stop On The Subway (series)

The Yankees and Mets played the last game in the 2023 Subway Series and the Yanks grabbed a W last night in the Bronx.

This makes it an even split in Queens and the Bronx after both teams would go 1-1 at Citi Field and 1-1 at Yankee Stadium.

The Yanks would win last night’s matchup 3-1 and are still 2.5 games out of the wild card.

The Mets are currently sitting 7.5 games out of the wild card.

PGA Tour

The PGA Tour season is winding down with only 2 regular season events left before “playoffs” start.

This week’s event is the 3M Open which is played at TPC Twin Cities. The total purse is $7.8 million with $1.4 million going to the winner.

TPC Twin Cities plays 7,431 yards from the tour tees and has water surrounding many of the holes. Not surprising for the land of 10,000 lakes!

Catch the action on ESPN+ all day on Thursday and Friday. The Golf Channel will also broadcast at 4 pm ET.

Aaron Rodgers Making Sacrifices?

Aaron Rodgers really wants to make this whole New York Jets thing work out. So much so that he decided to take a pay cut and agreed to a new two-year, $75 million guaranteed deal. He was originally owed over $110 million guaranteed on his old contract but took the $35 million pay cut to help the team.

Pac-12 Ain’t Prime Enough for Colorado

The Pac-12 is falling apart with USC and UCLA heading to the Big 10. With the uncertainty of what the Pac-12’s future will be, Colorado has decided to leave the conference and join the Big 12. With Oklahoma and Texas leaving the Big 12 and heading to the SEC, the Big 12 has some room for teams and has a new TV deal with ESPN and Fox that will provide $31 million annually in media rights to Colorado.

Colorado was a member of the Big 12 from 1996-2011 before they split for the Pac-12.

The Big 12 also added BYU, Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF to the conference this year.

That’s all for today. Thanks for reading and don’t forget to use your referral code and share with your friends!
