NBA Finals

The NBA Finals tip off tonight with the Miami Heat traveling to Denver to face the Nuggets in Game 1. Game time is 8:30 pm ET and you can watch on ABC.

• Heat vs. Nuggets over/under: 219 points

• Heat vs. Nuggets money line: Nuggets -400, Heat +310

Elevated PGA Tour Event

We’ve got another elevated PGA Tour event where the total purse is $20 million. This week’s stroke play event will take place at Muirfield Village Golf Club where they host the Memorial Tournament. Here’s the schedule for the week.

Shannon Sharpe is leaving FS1’s Undisputed. He’s been debating against Skip Bayless for the last 7 years and Sharpe’s final show will come after the NBA Finals. Sharpe will be taking his podcast with him from Fox Sports.

A Big Paycheck

Getting fired isn’t always a good thing, but sometimes you fail up. That’s exactly what happened with Monty Williams, sort of.

The Detroit Pistons have reportedly agreed to give Monty Williams the biggest deal for a coach in NBA history. The deal can apparently grow options and incentives that could increase the deal to eight years and $100 million.

But still, you gotta move to Detroit and coach the Pistons. But hey, a win’s a win.

Someone’s Probably Not Getting A Paycheck

Zeke Elliott was released by the Dallas Cowboys after the season to save on some cap space. Zeke’s performance has been dwindling in past seasons, especially since he signed a massive contract a few years ago.

We’ve been seeing a few videos of Zeke training and we’ve got to say… they don’t look good. Zeke might be looking slimmer but he’s also showing the ball off like he wants people to remember that he has terrible ball security. We’re not sure if anyone can use Zeke, especially as he’ll likely come with a high price tag. If he gets signed, he better keep that ball high and tight.

So this is pretty wild. We all know it can get hot in Baton Rouge, especially on a Saturday afternoon in September. Well the LSU Tigers are taking things to the next level to keep their players comfortable and let’s just say that helmet technology has improved quite a bit since the NFL became more “concerned” with concussions in 2009.
