Was NBA Jam saying this the whole time?

Today's Estimated Reading Time: 2 Minutes and 30 Seconds

NBA Jam must’ve been saying “ejected” and not “rejected” when I grew up playing the video game on Super Nintendo.

NBA Ejection Night

Forget bobblehead giveaways, instead, you can pay large dollar amounts to go to an NBA game and see all the stars sit out with injuries or watch them get ejected! Yayyyyy!

Draymond Green must not be the biggest Star Wars fan, otherwise, he’d realize it’s the empire strikes back, not the empire keeps striking and getting thrown out of games.

Draymond swung his arms “carelessly” aka he knew what he was doing and struck the face of Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in last night’s match-up against the Phoenix Suns. It's the third time this season that Green has been ejected.

Green was suspended five games earlier in this year when he choked out Rudy Gobert in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

I’d imagine Draymond will get around 8 games for this.

Is this the new form of load management for the players?

On the flip side

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was ejected just before halftime of Tuesday's 114-106 victory against the Chicago Bulls after arguing over the lack of a foul call.

Ref Mark Lindsay said Jokic was ejected because "he directed profane language at the official that by our standards warranted an ejection."

Jokic was previously ejected in a November against the Detroit Pistons for complaining about another non-call.

It seems to be a very different treatment of two high-profile players. But hey, the NBA has never had favorites, right?

NFL News

Pats Parting Ways

The New England Patriots have decided to part ways with long-time head coach Bill Belichick. It’s expected that Belichick will finish the 2023 season out and then will no longer be the coach even though it was reported that he signed an offseason season extension earlier this year.

We’ll do more on Belichick when the season is over but the question is will Belichick retire and go watch more college lacrosse or hang out in Nantucket for the summers or will Bill take one of the coaching vacancies that is sure to open at the end of the year?

The NFL Is Heading To Brazil

The NFL and the team’s owners have approved a first-ever regular season game in Brazil for the 2024 season. The game is expected to be played at Neo Quimica Arena, which hosted several games in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Miami Dolphins are expected to be one of the teams playing in the matchup

The NFL Isn’t The Only One Making Location Changes

Ted Leonsis, the owner of the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals will be moving his franchises to a new complex in North Virginia. Leonsis is waiting for a $2 billion proposal to be passed by legislation that would allow him to place new stadiums in an entertainment district.

Maybe the Commanders want to follow suit and get a new stadium built ASAP?

Anyways, check out the rendering of what the new stadiums could look like.

That’s all for today. We’ll be back tomorrow to talk more sports including a little rundown of what to expect for Thursday Night Football.

Enjoy the day!
