🏈XFL Returns

Here we go

No One Is Safe In St. Louis

We covered a story a little over a week ago about a St. Louis Blues trade to the NY Rangers. Well, the Blues are at it again. This time, no one is safe as the Blues traded their Captain, Ryan O’Reilly, to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 3 team deal. Trade specifics are below, but we should also mention the Blues also traded Noel Acciari to the Leafs.

The Leafs are 2nd in the Atlantic Division and the addition of O’Reilly and Acciari strengthen their roster and should position Toronto for a deep playoff run.

Coaches On The Move

The NFL offseason isn’t only a time for players to get the next big contract or find a squad that can compete for a Super Bowl. It’s also a time for coaches to get their next opportunity.

In a somewhat weird but understandable move, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator, Eric Bieniemy, has accepted a new role as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator of the Washington Commanders.

Bieniemy was a person of interest for head coaching jobs but wasn’t hired with teams giving the reason of a lack of play calling experience. Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid has actually been calling the plays for the offense but Bieniemy did develop the game plan. This lateral / promotional move for Bieniemy will be his attempt to prove that he can develop a high caliber offense on his own. Hopefully this move doesn’t back fire as the Commanders need help at the QB position and are a nightmare of an organization.

XFL Return

If you like football, working out, having diet cheat days with massive pancakes (I’m hungry now!), or drinking tequila, you and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have a few things in common. Maybe you and The Rock will enjoy the same thing on a TV screen too… The XFL!

The XFL is a football league that was started in 2001 and only had one full season before shutting it down. It made a resurgence in 2020 where 5 weeks of games were played before COVID shut it down. The Rock then purchased the league in 2020, hoping to bring it fully back to life.

The XFL has 8 teams. Two games will be played on Saturday and Sunday this week. Check out this weekend’s schedule below.

Here’s a Saturday bonus….. Check out this DK Metcalf clip. I think he somehow turned gravity off… but hey .. you keep your secrets DK.

Have A Great Day!
