No More Undefeated Teams in the NFL

Good Morning!

What a wild weekend of football in both the NFL and college.

We have zero undefeated teams left in the NFL, we had underdogs rise up last night and had some really, really bad performances. Add the college games into the mix and we’ve got a great day to play Monday morning quarterback.

Let’s start with the NFL games first.

NFL Sunday

Let’s start with the two big games and then go through everything in order.

Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) 14 | New York Jets (3-3) 20

✈️ > 🦅 The Jets were better than the Eagles last night and surprise surprise, The Eagles are no longer undefeated.

👀 I’m not sure where Jalen Hurts was looking yesterday but he threw 3 interceptions. He would finish 28 of 45 for 280 yards

🆒 Zach Wilson kept his cool out there and stayed mistake-free. He was 19 of 33 for 186 yards. No touchdowns, but hey, no picks either!

💪 The Jets defense was the saving grace, forcing 4 turnovers and keeping a potent Eagles offense to only 80 yards on the ground

San Francisco 49ers (5-1) 17 | Cleveland Browns (3-2) 19

🎉 This is a signature win for the Cleveland Browns. They handed the 49ers their first loss of the year and did it shorthanded.

🦵 49ers Kicker Jake Moody missed a 41-yard field goal with six seconds to go that would’ve given the Niners the win

📉 Brock Purdy had one of his worst days as 49ers QB. He only completed 44% of his passes and threw 1 TD and 1 INT.

❤️‍🩹 Wide receiver Deebo Samuel and running back Christian McCaffrey suffered shoulder and oblique/rib injuries, respectively. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Baltimore Ravens (4-2) 24 | Tennesse Titans (2-4) 16

🏈 Lamar Jackson (21/30, 233 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) also rushed for 66 yards to help the Ravens win

🏈 Justin Tucker was the real MVP going 6/6 for field goals

Washington Commanders (3-3) 24 | Atlanta Falcons (3-3) 16

🏈 Sam Howell (14/23, 151 yards, 3 TDs) helped the Commanders to a W by controlling the ball and not throwing any picks, even with minimal offensive output from the Commanders.

🏈Bijan Robinson only had 37 yards on 13 carries for the Falcons

Minnesota Vikings (2-4) 19 | Chicago Bears (1-5) 13

🏈 Kirk Cousins (21/31, 181 yards, 1 TD) and the Vikings offense did the “bare” minimum(pun intended) to win this game. The offense only collected 220 total yards on the day.

❤️‍🩹 Bears QB Justin Fields exited the game after he dislocated his thumb in his throwing hand.

Seattle Seahawks (3-2) 13 | Cincinnati Bengals (3-3) 17

🏈 Joe Burrow (24/35, 185 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) and the Bengals escaped with a win after a low-output day from the offense.

🏈 The Bengals offense would only rush for 46 total yards

Carolina Panthers (0-6) 21 | Miami Dolphins (5-1) 42

🏈 Bryce Young (22/38, 217 yards, 1 TD) and the Panthers would keep the Dolphins at bay(another pun intended) after leading 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

🏈 Tua Tagovailoa (21/32, 262 yards, 3 TDs) would get things moving in the air while the ground came and would provide some serious help

🏈 Raheem Mostert would score 2 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdown to help the Dolphins score 5 touchdowns in 30 minutes of gameplay.

Indianapolis Colts (3-3) 20 | Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) 37

🏈 Gardner Minshew (33/55, 329 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs) couldn’t lead the Colts to another win after he threw 3 interceptions. By the way, 55 passing attempts in a game is a lot

🏈 Trevor Lawrence (20/30, 181 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT) would help the Jags win on a low-yardage day after the offense only tallied 233 yards

🏈 Travis Etienne would rush for 2 touchdowns on 18 carries that went for a total of 55 yards

New Orleans Saints (3-3) 13 | Houston Texans (3-3) 20

🏈 Derek Carr (32/50, 353 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) would help the offense to over 400 yards of total yards but would come up short.

🏈 Rookie CJ Stroud (13/27, 199 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT) would complete about 50% of his passes but was good enough in the redzone to get the W.

New England Patriots (1-5) 17 | Las Vegas Raiders (3-3) 21

👎️This game had like 27 people who played or coached for the Patriots at some point and unfortunately none of them were named Tom Brady. Mac Jones stinks, Jimmy G stinks, Brian Hoyer stinks, and maybe Bill Belichick stinks now too? Moving on.

Arizona Cardinals (1-5) 9 | LA Rams (3-3) 26

🏈 Joshua Dobbs (21/41, 235 yards, 1 INT) did all he could for the Cardinals and even had some plays on his feet where he would pick up 47 yards of rushing but it wouldn’t be enough for Arizona

🏈 Matthew Stafford (15/24, 226 yards, 1 TD) did just enough with his play as the Rams hustled on the ground

🏈 Kyren Williams was the workhorse of the Rams’ offense. He rushed for 158 yards on 20 carries for 1 TD.

Detroit Lions (5-1) 20 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) 6

🏈 Jared Goff (30/44, 353 yards, 2 TDs) had a day for the Lions

🏈 The Bucs were sluggish coming out of a bye week…or maybe the Lions are just good. Either way, the Bucs came up short after facing a difficult opponent for the first time in a few weeks

❤️‍🩹 Lions RB David Montgomery had to exit the game with a rib injury and he will miss some time

New York Giants (1-5) 9 | Buffalo Bills (4-2) 14

🏈The Bills just snuck out a win and ruined Giants HC Brian Daboll’s homecoming.

🏈 Josh Allen (19/30, 169 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) did not look like himself out there in a Sunday Night Football matchup. The Giants’ passing defense was on point last night especially after the Bills were struggling to pass protect against a tough giant D-line

🏈James Cook would help on the ground for the Bills picking up 71 yards on 14 carries

🏈Tyrod Taylor (24/36, 200 yards) was doing what he could for the Giants offense. His only real mistake was checking to a run play at the end of the first half after what seemed like a miscommunication between him and Coach Daboll.

🏈 Saquon Barkley would rush for 93 yards on 24 carries in his first game back from a high ankle sprain

Monday Night Football

The Dallas Cowboys are in Los Angeles and ready to face their former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore who is now the OC of the Chargers. Will Dallas’ secondary be able to slow down Justin Herbert? Will Dak be able to lead the Cowboys to a win on his own?

Tune in to ESPN at 8:15 pm ET to find out.

💰️ Cowboys are -1.5 point favorites on the road. The O/U is 51.

College Football Did Not Disappoint

We’re covering our ranked games real quick and we’ll drop highlights in as well.

#8 Oregon (5-1) 33 | #7 Washington (6-0) 36

🏈This game came down to the last second when Oregon missed a game-tying field goal. I’m not necessarily worried about Oregon after losing this game, it’s just going to make it more interesting to see the Pac-12 play out.

🏈Michael Penix Jr. (22/37, 302 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT) made some big-time throws at the end of the game for Washington.

🏈 Washington will move into the top 5 in rankings for the first time in 6 years

#10 USC (6-1) 20 | #21 Notre Dame (7-2) 48

🏈USC never had a chance after Caleb Williams aka the Heisman Winner threw 3 interceptions, which is the first time he’s done that in his college career. Due to amazing field position, Notre Dame was able to score 3 times on drives that took a total of 64 yards.

#25 Miami (4-2) 31 | #12 North Carolina (6-0) 41

🏈Watch out for North Carolina now that Tez Walker is rolling. He caught 3 TDs in his 2nd game back and 132 total receiving yards

#18 UCLA (4-2) 24 | #15 Oregon State (6-1) 36

🏈Oregon State is setting itself up for a shot at the Pac-12 title after a big win against a talented UCLA team. Oregon State does finish with a tough final two games with 1 against Washington and the other against the Oregon Ducks

We went a little long today but we just want to deliver you all the action.

Have a great start to the week and enjoy the game tonight. We’ll be back tomorrow with MLB playoff updates and new college football rankings.
