FOUR OVERTIMES IN CAROLINA!
Today’s Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes and 12 seconds
Happy Friday! We had some great action on Thursday in the NBA, NHL, and the PGA Championship. We know you want to use that 2nd screen at work to watch golf so let’s jump straight in and get you on your way.
NBA Scores and Schedule
Western Conference Finals, Game 2
Nuggets lead 2-0
Los Angeles Lakers 103
Denver Nuggets 108
The Lakers traded lead changes with the Nuggets throughout the opening quarter until LA took the lead with 46 seconds to go. LA held on to that lead until the 9-minute mark in the 4th quarter when Jamal Murray drained a deep 3 to give Denver the lead.
Murray then took control in the 4th and scored 23 to help the Nuggets complete the comeback. He finished with 37 on the night.
Nikola Jokic had another triple-double for the Nuggets with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists
LeBron and Austin Reeves both had 22 for the Lakers
Eastern Conference Finals Friday Night
Miami Heat at Boston Celtics, 8:30 pm ET on TNT
Heat lead the series 1-0
Stanley Cup Playoffs
Eastern Conference Finals, Game 1
Panthers up 1-0
Florida Panthers 3
Carolina Hurricanes 2
The Florida Panthers can’t be stopped. They took the best team in the NHL in the first round of playoffs, defeating the Boston Bruins. The Panthers then rolled through the Toronto Maple Leafs. Now they kicked off the Eastern Conference Finals with a 4OT win over the team with the 2nd most points in the regular season.
The Panthers had a 2-1 lead heading into the 3rd period but Carolina’s Stefan Noesen tied up the game with a power play goal.
The teams would play 3 more scoreless periods and then Matthew Tkachuk would score his 6th goal in the playoffs with 13 seconds left on the 4th OT clock.
One regular NHL game is 60 minutes of play. This game was 139 minutes and 47 seconds. That is wild!
What’s even more wild is this is only the sixth-longest game ever in the playoffs.

PGA Championship Deals With Early Morning Frost
As we mentioned yesterday, tee times were pushed back at Oak Hill CC as grounds crews were dealing with frost on the course. Some golfers are out early on Friday before round 2 starts to finish up their opening round.
Eric Cole is still finishing his opening round and he currently leads the pack -5 through 14 holes.
Bryson DeChambeau came in at -4 while Scottie Scheffler, Corey Connors, and Dustin Johnson are close behind.
Check out some highlights from round 1.
That’s all for today. Enjoy them happy hours.
Cheers!
