Overtime, Bad Beats, and Scorigami

Wow, wow, wow. What a Sunday evening. We finished up the afternoon slot with a wild Bills/Eagles ending and then all the bettors got to watch Sunday Night Football wondering if the Ravens would win by more than 3.

Let’s check out some games, scores, and stats and then tomorrow we’ll break down some of the action going on in other leagues.

New Orleans Saints (5-6) 15 | Atlanta Falcons (5-6) 24

🏈 We’re not spending too much time on this game. The Falcons and Saints are both disappointing, along with the rest of the NFC South. Somehow, both teams are tied at the top of the conference and one will get into the playoffs. Of course, the Bucs are 4-7 and might be able to find a way in with a few more wins. Ugh.

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4) 16 | Cincinnati Bengals (5-6) 10

👓️ Statistically speaking, this was an exceptional performance by the Pittsburgh offense, and it probably couldn’t have come at a better time. They just fired OC Matt Canada and Eddie Faulkner was promoted to take over. This performance would usually be considered an anomaly, but maybe this is what we can expect from the Steelers down the road. You can think whatever you’d like but there’s one big thing the Steelers are missing. YOU STILL NEED TO SCORE POINTS! Rack up all the yards you want between the 20s but if you’re not cashing in for TDs, you ain’t making it too far in the playoffs.

Carolina Panthers (1-10) 10 | Tennesse Titans (6-5) 27

🔥This isn’t a good fire. It’s a bad one. The Panthers fired their first-year head coach Frank Reich amidst his 1-10 start. Carolina’s offense has ranked near the bottom of the league in almost every category.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7) 20 | Indianapolis Colts (6-5) 27

💪 This was a strong finish by the Colts as Jonathan Taylor muscled his way into the endzone with 7 minutes to go in the 4th quarter for a 27-17 lead. The Bucs would kick a field goal a few minutes later and would get the ball and try to tie the game. Colts DE Samson Ebukam stripped the ball from Baker Mayfield with 1:29 left and the game would practically be over at that point.

New England Patriots (2-9) 7 | New York Giants (4-8) 10

⏩️ Skip

⏩️ ⏩️ Please skip

🏈 I guess the fast-forward button is broken. Here it goes. These teams stink. Mac Jones stinks, and Bailey Zappe stinks. Does the Patriot Way stink?

🍝 Thanksgiving meal at Mom and Dad’s…. make it home for a chicken parm and Sunday sauce dinner after a win. This sounds like a great week for any dude. It’s even better for Giants QB, Tommy DeVito, who finished 17/25 for 191 yards and a TD. He’s now won two in a row with the Giants. Eat up Tommy, you’re a growing boy.

Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3) 24 | Houston Texans (6-5) 21

👉️ Trevor Lawrence is starting to look like himself again. He finished 23/38 for 364 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. The Jags got this W but the real MVP was the field crossbar. The Texans attempted to tie the game with a 58-yarder, but Matt Ammendola bonked it into the crossbar and the Jags got the W.

👍️ Texans QB CJ Stroud threw for 304 yards and 2 TDs. Stroud surpassed Justin Herbert for the most passing yards by a rookie in 11 games.

Cleveland Browns (7-4) 12 | Denver Broncos (6-5) 29

🔥The Denver Broncos are the hottest teams in the NFL right now. It’s all thanks to a Denver defense that only let up 162 yards in the air and a Denver rushing attack that grabbed 169 yards on the ground, including two TDs.

👉️ We also had a scorigami in this game as a 29-12 result has never happened before in NFL history.

❤️‍🩹 The Browns suffered some injuries yesterday with QB DTR leaving with a concussion, WR Amari Cooper suffering a rib injury and DE Myles Garrett feeling a pop in his shoulder.

LA Rams (5-6) 37 | Arizona Cardinals (2-10) 14

🏃Kyren Williams was a dude yesterday for the Rams. He had over 200 total yards on offense and two TDs. Matt Stafford was 25/33 for 229 yards, 4 TDs, and 1 INT

KC Chiefs (8-3) 31 | Las Vegas Raiders (5-7) 17

👉️ The Chiefs put together a well-rounded day on offense with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 298 yards and 2 TDs. Mahomes completed passes to 7 different receivers by Rashee Rice was the go-to guy yesterday as he caught 8 passes for 107 yards and 1 TD.

🏃 Isiah Pacheco ran hard for the Chiefs, getting 55 yards and 2 TDs on 15 carries. He also had 5 receptions for 34 yards.

OT: Buffalo Bills (6-6) 34 | Philadelphia Eagles (10-1) 37

⌛️ Time is running out for the Bills to get their season back on track and they needed this one last night. The Bills had a 17-7 lead at halftime and the Eagles found a way to play great 2nd half football, something we’ve been seeing all year.

🦵 The Bills had a 31-28 lead and with 2 minutes to go, it looked like the Eagles were on their way to the endzone. Mix in a few penalties and a few stops and you’ve got yourself a 59-yard field goal attempt to tie it up in wet and sloppy conditions. THE KICK WAS GOODn

⏩️ Fast forward to overtime and Josh Allen had a wide-open Gabe Davis in the endzone and the two weren’t on the same page and the ball dropped to the ground as Davis turned the opposite way. The Bills hit a field goal and the Eagles got the ball back and went 75 yards for the score.

🦅 The Eagles are finding ways to win week in and week out, even if they’ve been outgained. Jalen Hurts finished with big plays down the stretch and he was 18/31 on the day for 200 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT. He also ran the ball 14 times for 65 yards and 2 TDs. 5 TDs that Hurts was a part of. HUGE.

Check out the highlights.

Baltimore Ravens (9-3) 20 | LA Chargers (4-7) 10

🏈 This wasn’t the Ravens’ best win of the year, but it’s a win nonetheless. The Ravens defense closed out this game and that’s something we’ll need to see in the next few weeks as the Ravens face a tough schedule ahead. The Ravens still need to play the Jags, 49ers, Dolphins, and Steelers.

🏃 A strong rushing attack kept Chargers QB Justin Herbert off the field long enough for Baltimore to close this one out. Baltimore finished the day with 197 yards on the ground.

💰️ The Ravens had the lead 13-10 and Tay Flowers ran in a TD near the end of the game. The spread was originally set a -3 for the Ravens so there were millions going back to people who took the Chargers +3. Tough beat.

Monday Night Football

We’ve got an NFC North Monday Night Football matchup between the Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings.

📺️ Gametime is 8:15 pm ET on ESPN

💰️ Minnesota is the favorite at -3 and the O/U is 43.5.

That’s a full recap if I’ve ever seen one. Have a great week!
