Red River Rivalry

Are you having a good morning? We Don’t Care

Because

It’s

Going

To

Be

A

GREAT AFTERNOON!

Is College Football the only thing on today? I’d have to say yes because I’m not paying attention to anything else.

We’ve got the last Red River Rivalry in the Big 12 (don’t worry, it will just be an SEC thing next year)

We’ve got matchups between undefeated teams.

We’ve got potential upsets coming today

And it’s all happening with our top 25 teams.

Let’s take a closer look at today’s games.

Red River Rivalry

We’ve got the #3 team in the nation facing the #12 team in the nation at a neutral site in Dallas today. That’s right, the #3 Texas Longhorns are traveling 2 hours and 45 minutes up I-35 North, and the Oklahoma Sooners are heading south down I-35 for, you guessed it, 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Both teams are undefeated and both are playing tremendous football today lately. At this point, Texas has played the better schedule and has the bigger wins, but the Oklahoma offense has been putting up points on their weaker opponents, showing that the Sooners have firepower.

We’ve seen stalemates in the past, over time thrillers in the recent, and I have a feeling this year will be another shootout.

Will it be the Quinn Ewers leading the burnt orange to a win or will it be Dillon Gabriel leading the crimson red to a win?

Texas is -5.5 points favorites and the O/U is 60.5. I’m taking Texas and the over.

Game time is Noon ET and will be on ABC.

Tune in to see Bevo watch the Sooner’s carriage roll in through the Cotton Bowl at the state fairgrounds!

What Else Are We Watching Today

Maryland @ #4 Ohio State, Noon ET on FOX

  • This is a Big 10 matchup of undefeated teams. Maryland has been playing well and is a challenge in the Big 10. Ohio State has remained undefeated but they’ve been coming out flat in most of their games. Ohio State is a -19 favorite and the O/U is 56. I think I’ll take Maryland ATS and the over.

#23 LSU @ #21 Missouri, Noon ET on ESPN

  • It’s an SEC matchup of Tigers vs Tigers and Missouri is undefeated so far. Even so, LSU is the favorite in this matchup, giving 5.5 points up. The O/U is 64.5. I think LSU is the better team but they’re coming off of a shootout with Ole Miss. Does this mean LSU will be dragging or will they come out firing? I think I’ll go LSU ATS and take the under.

#11 Alabama @ Texas A&M, 3:30 pm ET on CBS

  • The Crimson Tide are taking on the Aggies in an SEC matchup that includes a 4-1 record for both teams. Alabama is 2-point favorite on the road and they’ve shown some weakness as a squad this year. Texas A&M has put up points on questionable opponents this year and lost their most difficult matchup to a good Miami team. Anything can happen when you make your way into College Station, TX. If there was a year that Texas A&M would upset Bama, this is it. I’m probably staying away from this bet but if I had to take something I’d choose A&M +2 points and take the over at 45.

Syracuse @ #14 North Carolina, 3:30 pm ET on ESPN.

  • Here’s another matchup I’m interested in. Syracuse just upset UNC in Men’s Soccer last night, can they upset them in football today? Syracuse has an offense that can put up points, but really, who have they played? Army, Purdue, Western Michigan, Colgate? Then again, UNC has had some close calls against App State and South Carolina, but the Tar Heels have remained undefeated. Cuse is getting +9.5 points and I’m taking the Orange to keep it close. O/U is 59.5 and I think I’ll take the under for a change.

#20 Kentucky @ #1 Georgia, 7:00 pm ET on ESPN

  • I haven’t watched enough Kentucky, but here’s what I know. Georgia is a 14.5-point favorite and the O/U is 47. I really want to pick Kentucky in this matchup ATS but Georgia started slow against Auburn last week and I don’t think it’s happening again. I think Georgia whoops Kentucky 35-10. So I’m taking Georgia and maybe the over.

Fill your schedule up with these games, you won’t be disappointed.

Have a day!
