Referees Had The Most Accurate Throws Last Night
Good Morning, let’s get your Tuesday started. 3 minutes and 29 seconds is all we need to cover the NFL, College Football, and the MLB.
Let’s get to it.
Monday Night Football
Dallas Cowboys (4-2) 20 | LA Chargers (2-3) 17
📰 Dak Prescott (21/30, 272 yards, 1 TD) is going to look like the hero in the headlines today after completing 70% of his passes and he rushed for a TD
👎️ The refs were more accurate with their flags than Justin Herbert was(22/37, 227 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT). Herbert missed on a couple of key throws that could’ve changed the direction of the game. Give props to the Cowboys’ front as they did get some pressure on Herbet
#️⃣ 🟨 The Refs threw at least 20 flags last night which is almost as many passes as some teams throw in a game. At least the penalties were pretty even for both teams.
⌛️After a close game the entire night, the Cowboys made more plays at the end of the 4th quarter with time winding down. They grabbed a 4th quarter lead with a field goal and then the defense brought all the pressure, getting a sack and an INT in back-to-back to plays on the Chargers’ final opportunity.
Let’s go through some more good and bad from the game.
🤠 Cowboys 🤠
➕ The Cowboys showed up in a primetime game and made some plays when needed
➕ Dak made some plays on his feet and that opened the run game up a little bit
➖ The O-line could not pass protect and gave up 5 sacks, a number that should’ve been worse
➖ The Chargers were in lots of 3rd and long positions and though they didn’t convert on many of them, they easily got 99% of the yards they needed, something to look out for in the future
⚡️Chargers⚡️
➕ Kellen Moore is for sure a better playcaller than Mike McCarthy. Moore called screens at the right time, managed 3rd downs decently, and drew up some nice plays in the redzone
➕ Austin Ekeler is back in the lineup and he was catching passes out of the backfield which helped open some other options up. Expect him to make an impact in the next few games even though he didn’t collect many yards in the ground game last night
➖ The game actually might not have been that close if it wasn’t for a mishap on the Dallas’ special teams that gave the Chargers the ball at the Dallas 20-yard line.
➖ The Chargers do need to establish a run game if they want to have a shot against Kansas City on Sunday

College Football Rankings
It’s time to look at the college football rankings and see the major movers.
🔼 Washington moved up 2 spots from last week after a big win against Oregon
🔼North Carolina found its way up 2 spots to #10 after washing out the Miami Hurricanes
🔼Oregon State is become a top opponent in the Pac-12 and they’ve moved up 3 spots to #12
⏬USC dropped a large 8 spots to #18 after getting pummeled by Notre Dame
⏬ Louisville dropped 7 spots to #21 just one week after a big win against Notre Dame
✈️ Air Force is in the top 25 for the first time since 2019. They are 6-0 and ranked #22

Let’s Round The Bases
ALCS
The Texas Rangers held off a late push from the Houston Astros to win 5-4 and grab a 2-0 lead in the series. The Rangers are now 7-0 in the playoffs and 6 wins on the road. Game 3 is set for tomorrow night in Arlington and it’s a best of 7 series.
NLCS
The Phillies of Philadelphia cruised to a 5-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in game 1 of the NLCS and it was all thanks to the top of the lineup in the first inning.
Kyle Schwarber would crush a home run on the first pitch in the bottom of the 1st and Bryce Harper would follow it up with another home run just two batters later.
BRYCE HARPER BIRTHDAY HOMER 🎂
For the first time in Phillies history, they've hit 2 home runs in the 1st inning of a playoff game 😳
