Rodgers to the Jets
It’s Saturday morning and we want you to have a great day. This is the Daily Breakroom and were giving you the update you need to get you moving.
What's on the agenda for today:
🏈 Aaron Rodgers Trade
🏈 Trade for #1 Draft Pick
⛷️ Shiffrin’s Success
🏀 NBA Highlights
🏀 What to Watch on Saturday
Here we go.
Aaron Rodgers to the Jets
We got news this morning that everything that would need to worked out to have QB Aaron Rodgers traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets has been worked out. The only thing left is for Rodgers to give the 👍️ that he wants to be traded to NY. It appears that we’ll be seeing Rodgers wear a different a shade of green in 2023.
Panthers Make a Move
Last night we found out that there was a trade for the #1 draft pick in the NFL. Some suspected the Houston Texans or the Indianapolis Colts might attempt to trade up. The surprise came from the Carolina Panthers who traded a bunch of picks and WR DJ Moore.
With this trade the Bears will have 3 picks in the first two rounds and they just found themselves a WR #1. Bears should be able to draft some players to fill some needed roles at offensive line, defensive tackle, and grab a pass rusher. I’m not super thrilled with the QB class in 2023 but the Panthers clearly have a guy they want, either Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud.
Compensation update, per sources: Bears trading No. 1 overall pick to Carolina for:
🏈pick No. 9
🏈pick No. 61
🏈a first-round pick in 2024
🏈a second-round pick in 2025

NBA Highlights
There was some NBA action on Friday night. We’re not going to deep dive into too many scores or stats, we are just going to scrape the surface.
The Philadelphia 76ers had a last second win over the Portland Trailblazers when MVP candidate Joel Embiid hit a turn around jumper. Embiid put up 39 points for the 2nd game in a row. Check out the go ahead shot.
The LA Lakers took on the Toronto Raptors in a game that featured D’Angelo Russell’s return to the Lakers’ roster. The Lakers won the game 122-112 as Russell scored 16 points in the 4th quarter. Lakers move to #9 in the Western Conference and 1.5 games behind the #5 LA Clippers.
