Stanley Cup Saturday
Good Morning. We want you to enjoy your Saturday so grab that cup of coffee and let’s get going.
Stanley Cup Finals
The puck is dropping in Las Vegas tonight for The Stanley Cup Finals. The Florida Panthers, who just squeezed into the playoffs will be facing the Vegas Golden Knights.
With the Panthers having Matthew Tkachuk on the ice and their goalkeeper, Sergei Bobrovsky is rested, they are going to be a hard out. They’ve done everything right as an 8 seed in the playoffs and they need one more series to complete this epic playoff run.
Vegas Golden Knights have a deep squad and they’ve got some great momentum following some dominating performances against Dallas to close out the Western Conference Finals. Some might say that the Cinderella story of the Panthers will have to end but is it really a Cinderella story when you bounce some of the top teams in the NHL 3 times in a row?
We’ve looked at lots of expert picks for this matchup and wouldn’t you know it, the predictions are mostly and even split for who’s going to win the cup.
There’s only one way to know for sure and that’s to play to the games. Tune in to TNT at 8:00 pm ET tonight to see who will get the momentum to open the series.
More Coaching Moves
The Phoenix Suns are finalizing a day with Frank Vogel to bring him in to coach all-stars Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Vpgel’s got great experience coaching defenses as he’s coached a top-rated NBA defense 3 times in his career. He also has a ring as he coached the Lakers to their 2020 title. Let’s see if he can bring a title to Phoenix.
French Open
Novak Djokovic had one of his longest matches yesterday that he won in straight sets. He had to come from behind in a few sets vs. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina but he managed to fight it out and not lose any of his first 3 sets. Novak won 7-6, 7-6, and breezed through the final set 6-2.
There’s more tennis being played with the fourth round of the tournament being broadcasted on the Tennis Channel from 5am-1pm ET and also on NBC from Noon-3pm ET.
Enjoy your Saturday!
