Sunday NFL Preview
w/ an early game from Germany
Guten Tag!
It’s pretty simple what we’re here to do today. Get in with some football talk and quickly get out. We want you to enjoy the college games and know what to look for tomorrow in the NFL. And please, don’t sleep in on one of the biggest matchups of the year tomorrow. We’ve got the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins facing off early tomorrow morning, in Germany.
Let’s break this down and enjoy our Saturday
Just so you’re not looking for your own squad, let’s cover who’s on a bye week.
The Denver Broncos(can’t lose after a big win if you have a bye week 😉 ), The Detroit Lions, the Jacksonville Jaguars, SF 49ers all have a bye.
Let’s dig into some of the big games.
Miami Dolphins (6-2) @ Kansas City Chiefs (6-2)
📺️ Gametime is 9:30 am ET on NFL Network from Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany
👀 This might be one of the biggest games in the AFC this year. We’ve got two 6-2 teams facing each other and I’ve got one thing that I’m looking at. It’s not the trip to Germany, it’s not the Dolphins pass or run game, and it’s not Jalen Ramsey. We’re always looking for some weird edge in this gambling game and mine is the Chiefs having been 16-3 straight up after a loss since Mahomes has been the starter in KC.
💰️The Chiefs are giving 1.5 points to the Dolphins and the O/U is 50.5. I think the Chiefs will win by 3 tomorrow so I’ll take them and I’ll play with everyone else and think this is going over.
Seattle Seahawks (5-2) @ Baltimore Ravens (6-2)
📺️ 1 pm ET on CBS
👀 All signs are pointing to Lamar Jackson and the Ravens as being the better team. I don’t disagree with the fact that they don’t have to travel multiple time zones to play. I think the Seahawks are a good squad but I think the Ravens are better. I think the Ravens are Super Bowl caliber until they’re not.
💰️ The Seahawks just grabbed a nice win against the Browns last weekend. I don’t think they’re coming out to repeat as underdogs this week. The Ravens are 6-point favorites and will cover. Leave the O/U alone at 44.5
Minnesota Vikings (4-4) @ Atlanta Falcons (4-4)
📺️ 1 pm ET on FOX
👀 Hey man, don’t look at us like that. These week 9 games get tough as we try to figure things out… and we’re also looking for some good bets at the same time!
👉️ Jaren Hall is stepping in for the week as Kirk Cousins is dead for the season. I’m looking to make money this week and here’s what we know.
💰️ The Falcons are -3.5 favorites and the O/U is 37. Since the Vikings are starting a new QB and the record for new QBs against the spread on the road is 3-15, I’ll play the stat and take the Falcons. I’ll also take the under, I’m feeling dangerous.
NY Giants (2-6) @ Las Vegas Raiders (3-5)
📺️ Gametime is 4:25 pm ET on FOX
⁉️ Why are we even talking about these two terrible teams? Well, it’s really just to see which team it gets worse for by the end of the game. The Giants are getting Daniel Jones back a week after they lost with their 3rd stringer. The Giants just traded Leonard Williams to the Seahawks and that isn’t helping their cause against a bad Raiders offense.
💀 The Raiders are going through a “bit” of a transition right now (and for the next 10 years probably) after they just fired head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Zeigler. Antonio Pierce is taking over the team and he named rookie Aiden O’Connell the starter for the week.
💰️ The line has moved in favor of Vegas to be +2 points for Vegas meaning the Giants are giving 2. I think it’s an okay bet to make on the NYG against the spread as long as the Raiders are starting O’Connell.
Dallas Cowboys (5-2) @ Philadelphia Eagles (7-1)
📺️ We’ve got a marquee matchup in the NFC East facing off at 4:25 pm ET on FOX tomorrow.
👀 This seems very simple to me. Dallas isn’t winning this game, not straight up and not against the spread unless they surprise the universe. Dallas has been terrible on the road this year and especially bad against good teams. Dallas averages 37 points at home and 21.5 points on the road. That’s quite the discrepancy. It’s pretty simple in my book
💰️ The Eagles are -3 point favorites and I’m a Cowboys fan so here’s what I think. If Vegas likes the Eagles -3 at home they think this thing will be super competitive. I see the the Eagles winning by a larger margin than the Cowboys cutting it close by 3 points, so take the Eagles and watch the Cowboys passing game fall apart, rush by rush.
Buffalo Bills (5-3) @ Cincinnati Bengals (4-3)
📺️ Josh Allen and Joe Burrow will meet on the field for a Sunday Night Football matchup at 8:15 pm ET on NBC
👀 QB Joe Burrow is finally back in form after struggling with a calf injury earlier in the season. Josh Allen isn’t in a bad spot but you love to see the progression from Burrow after starting the year off with an injury.
💰️ The Bengals are giving -1.5 points and that’s very generous from the home team here. I’ll take the Bengals on this one.
That’s our preview for tomorrow. If you’re looking for the full schedule, check it out here. Enjoy the day!
