Sunday At The Open

Good Morning! We hope you’re sleeping in today after 3 early mornings of watching The Open. We’ve got our final round with a leader still 5 strokes ahead of the pack and once the championship finishes in the early afternoon we’ve got a few other sports to round out the day.
Let’s tee this bad boy up.
Sunday At The Open
While Sundays at major tournaments are a beautiful thing to watch, the weather at The Royal Liverpool is anything but.
We had some movement on the leaderboard on Saturday, with John Rahm going bogey-free and shooting a 63, and moving into 3rd place. Cameron Young would have a successful day on the course too, going 5 under and he’s moved into 2nd place.
Brian Harman is still 5 strokes ahead of Young, who is in second place. Rahm is 1 stroke overall behind Young and is sitting in third by himself.
We’ve got 5 players sitting just behind Rahm, tied for 4th but it’s unlikely they’ll be able to make a push to win today as the weather outlook is not good and conditions will not be easy.
The course is having moderate to heavy rains all day and the wind is gusting around 20 mph.
With these conditions, it makes you wonder… Is this anyone’s tournament to win or Brian Harman’s tournament to lose?
Tune into NBC at 7 am ET for the final round coverage.
F1 In Hungary
The Hungarian Grand Prix is taking to the starting line at 9 am ET on ESPN. The race will be at the challenging track Hungaroring. Lewis Hamilton was able to beat out Max Verstappen in the qualifying run and Hamilton will grab the pole position. Verstappen had the pole position in the previous 5 races. Let’s see if Verstappen will be able to make moves on the track today and grab another win.
What To Watch Tonight?
We’ve got two events that might be a nice watch as you’re winding down tonight, getting food prepped, or doing some laundry.
Barracuda Championship
While The Open is going on across the pond, the PGA Tour has another event near Lake Tahoe in California. Tune into the Golf Channel at 5 pm ET to watch the final round and see if Patrick Rodgers can maintain his 5-stroke lead.
Sunday Night Baseball
We’ve got Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN and tonight’s matchup is the Boston Red Sox hosting the New York Mets at 7 pm ET. This is the final game of a 3 game series between the teams and it’s currently split 1-1.
Enjoy whatever you watch today and remember….
Don’t let your Mondays ruin your Sundays!
