PGA Tour Action x2

There’s a lot golf being played this week on the PGA Tour.

Look out for the Arnold Palmer Invitational being played at the Bay Hill Golf Course in Orlando. This is a designated event so it carries a $20 million purse, with $3.6 million going to the winner. You can catch the action over the next 4 days on the GOLF Channel or CBS.

While the top professionals play at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, others who are trying to save their job or earn a tour pro card will be playing in the Puerto Rico Open. This is has a much smaller purse than the Arnold Palmer. The total purse for this event is $3.8 million. The Puerto Rico Open will also be broadcasted over the GOLF Channel through the weekend.

Push for the Tourney

It’s finally March and that means the madness is approaching. Many conferences are kicking off conference tournaments this week or next. There’s about 29 teams who are currently a lock to get in to the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, Wisconsin and Arizona State are going to need a strong finish to the season to make the cutline and be one of the last four teams in.

KD Returns to the Court

Kevin Durant returned to the court for the first time since January 8, when he sprain his MCL. He was since traded and made his debut for the Phoenix Suns last night. KD’s minutes were somewhat restricted and he played 27 minutes. He dropped 23 points in a Suns win over the Charlotte Hornets. Devin Booker scored 37 points and Chris Paul recorded 11 assists. It;s apparent the 3 stars can play together and the Suns are just scratching the surface with all this talent.

NFL Combine

The NFL combine starts today with defensive lineman and linebackers reporting. Over the next couple days, players from all positions undergo physical and mental tests where they are evaluated by NFL scouts, coaches, and general managers. You can catch the action on the NFL Network.
