I think that made Monday night game gave me a cold
Good Morning… at least I hope it is for you. Thanksgiving weekend, not enough sleep, meat sweats, too many beers + staying up too late on a Monday to watch bad(really bad) football, that’s a recipe for disaster.
Okay, I might be exaggerating a bit, but that was really bad football last night.
Let’s jump into some sports.
Abysmal Monday Night
Chicago Bears (4-8) 12 | Minnesota Vikings (6-6) 10
⁉️ Let’s start with a serious question. Are the Bears tanking? And if they are tanking, are they really bad at tanking? Here’s why.
👉️ Josh Dobbs threw 4 interceptions and it still took a field goal with 10 seconds left for the Bears to win the game.
🍞 Justin Fields didn’t help the Bears offense after getting multiple turnovers, he lost 2 fumbles in the 4th quarter but did enough at the end of the game to set up a game-winning field goal at the 13-yard line. Can’t be carrying that ball like a loaf of bread, Justin!
🧑⚖️ To be fair and impartial, Josh Dobbs’ picks weren’t all his fault. He was gassing some balls into good spots and receivers just weren’t making the catches. Balls were being deflected into the air and Bears players were making some greasy plays with paws to secure some nice INTs.
👀 The Vikings are still eyeing a playoff spot although they finish their season with 3 division opponents, including the Lions who lead the NFC North.
👇️ Here’s how the field goal got set up at the end of the game. Big throw to DJ Moore.
Fields and Moore get the @ChicagoBears into field goal range 👀

Oakland Isn’t Letting Their Baseball Go
The people/fans of Oakland might not have had a say on whether the Oakland A’s should go to Vegas or not, but they do have a say in whether baseball keeps its presence in the city.
As of this morning, the OAKLAND BALLERS are the newest team to be playing in town. The B’s will play in the Independent Pioneer League. A new Pacific Coast division will launch in the league. This is a pretty cool way to keep fans happy in Oakland but I thought this would be a great opportunity for Banana Ball to grow across the nation.
NHL News
I’ve Never Seen This Before
👀 In the 3rd period of a 5-0 Florida Panthers’ win over the Ottawa Senators the refs assessed a 10-minute misconduct penalty to every player on the ice after a brawl broke out. EVERY PLAYER ON THE ICE.
"Every player on the ice has a 10-minute misconduct, among other penalties."

Patrick Kane Finds A New Home
Patrick Kane has found a home with the Detroit Red Wings with a 1 year $2.75 million deal. Kane, who is 35, underwent hip surgery in June and is now fully recovered. Kane spent 15 full seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks and then split his 16th season between Chicago and the NY Rangers when he was traded last season. This will be his 17th season in the NHL.
Another Coach Fired
The Minnesota Wild have fired head coach Dean Evason and assistant Bob Woods after a 5-10-4 start this season. Evason said the Wild “had to change something” after the team’s 7th straight loss on Sunday and apparently the front office agreed. The Wild have already hired former Predators head coach, John Hynes.

Nuggets Are Surviving Without Jokic
The Denver Nuggets played their 2nd night of back-to-back games without Nikola Jokic, and they’re doing all right.
The Nuggets faced the Clippers last night and two former Clippers had standout performances for the Nuggets.
🏀 DeAndre Jordan and Reggie Jackson lit up their former team. Jordan had 21 points and 13 boards and Jackson had 35 points and 13 assists.
❤️🩹 The Nuggets were missing starters Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon, who average a combined 58.2 points. Jokic sat out the second game of a back-to-back because of low back pain. Murray has a right hamstring strain and Gordon has a right heel strain.
Is the James Harden Experiment Over?
📺️They called it a blockbuster trade but maybe this should’ve been shut down like a blockbuster in the 2010s. It might be too early to tell, and teams rarely play their best ball at the beginning of the season but so far James Harden has been a defensive liability for the Clippers.
📉 Without Harden the Clippers were around 10th in defensive efficiency and since Harden has been on the team, the Clippers have dropped to 23rd. Harden has played better on defense in his last 5 games but it’s still alarming. The Clippers are 4-8 since acquiring Harden.
⏳️ The Clippers still have time to figure this out and you can expect Ty Lue will make the necessary changes to get the team on a playoff track, but this was supposed to be a team destined for a title run when the trade happened. I guess we’ll see!
