🏀 The Lakers survived an OT scare against the Washington Wizards last night. Anthony Davis dropped 40 points and had 15 rebounds as the Lakers won 134-131.

🏀 Victor Wembanyama was 5 of 7 from beyond the arc last night and had 28 points and 13 rebounds in a Spurs win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

🏀 Devin Booker dropped 35 for the Suns in a 110-105 win over the Houston Rockets

🏀 It’s always the next man up in Denver. Nikola Jokic only scored 18, and Jamal Murray went out with a sprained ankle, but no problem. Michael Porter Jr. put up 30 points for the Nuggets, who grabbed a 103-97 in a finals rematch against the Miami Heat.

🏀 Steph Curry hit eight 3-pointers last night as the Warriors took down the NY Knicks at MSG, 110-99. While the Warriors are playing better as of late, the Knicks had a terrible night shooting and finished with a field goal percentage of just 37%.

Caitlin Clark Declares For WNBA

It would be weird if we didn’t mention this, but it would be weirder if Caitlin Clark took a COVID year and played a 5th year of college basketball. So yeah, if you want to watch Caitlin Clark after the NCAA Tournament this year, you can watch her in Indianapolis as the Indiana Fever has the #1 pick in the draft.

🏈 The Minnesota Vikings are cutting RB Alexander Mattison just a year after he took over the starting role when the Vikings cut Dalvin Cook. Mattison had a rough 2023 as the Viking's offense ranked 29th in yards per carry. Mattison had 0 rushing scores.

🏈 The Kansas City Chiefs are feeling pretty good that they will sign Chris Jones before free agency opens up. Jones is looking for a salary of around $30 million, and if he gets that, he’ll be right around Aaron Donald and Nick Bosa with that salary. Let’s see where the Chiefs spend their money as they try to set themselves up for a Super Bowl 3-peat.

🏈 The New Orleans Saints will be releasing safety Marcus Maye in an effort to save over $7 million in cap space. Maye has only played 17 games in two years with the Saints as he dealt with a substance abuse suspension and was out with a shoulder injury. Maye was a nice signing for the Saints in 2022 after he spent 5 seasons with the Jets, but as we all know, the best ability is availability!

👎️ The Pittsburgh Steelers are committed to being average again! Wait, no, sorry. The Steelers GM didn’t say that, he said he thinks QB Kenny Pickett has a bright future ahead of him and thinks OC Arthur Smith can help him improve. I’ll believe it when I see it.

🏈According to some sources, Saquon Barkley is eyeing the Houston Texans as the top spot he would like to go when free agency opens. Can you blame him? We all know C.J. Stroud is worth something, and Daniel Jones ain’t worth a dime!
