Two-zero leads, Double OTs, Scottie's still in trouble and much more

HAPPY FRIDAY AND WELCOME TO THE UNOFFICIAL BUT OFFICIAL START OF SUMMER!

It’s time to get caught up on the action and then disappear from your office into a cooler of cold beer.

Let’s see what we missed the last few days and what you have to look forward to watching when you catch good vibes on a three-day weekend.

Let’s go.

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2023

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

NBA Playoffs

Western Conference Finals Game 1

🏀 Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving led the way for the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night in the WCF. Doncic scored 33 points, and Kyrie finished with 30 after having what was a somewhat unstoppable 1st half.

Anthony Edwards only scored 19 for Minnesota, and if they want to make something happen in game 2, they’ll need way more from him. Jaden McDaniels was the Timberwolves' high scorer, but he only finished with 24.

Don’t get me wrong, Minnesota can win this series, and they almost won game 1 until they gave a 13-0 scoring run in the 4th.

Eastern Conference Finals Game 2

🏀 The Pacers had their chance on Tuesday night to steal a win in game 1 and now their chance to win this series is fleeting… partially thanks to Tyrese Haliburton’s hamstring.

The Pacers guard had to leave the game early in the third quarter last night due to “left leg soreness,” but it’s his hamstring, and we all know how delicate those are when injured. Even with Haliburton playing, he wasn’t really making an impact. He only took eight shots in 28 minutes and had 10 points. We haven’t seen enough of “regular season Tyrese Haliburton” in the playoffs.

The Celtics got a 40 burger from Jaylen Brown, and they still haven’t had to rely heavily on Jayson Tatum in the playoffs. The Celtics also won the battle down low by outscoring the Pacers 54-34 in the paint. The Celtics also got 23 points from Jayson Tatum and Derrick White.

Pascal Siakam was the Pacer's high scorer with 28.

Rough Patch In New York

On Wednesday night, the Eastern Conference Finals featured game 1 between the New York Rangers and the Florida Panthers, and Madison Square Garden was a very quiet building. The Knicks could hardly keep a puck in their offensive zone, and they had an even harder time getting shots on the goals after going an 11-minute stretch in the second period without doing so.

The Final score was 3-0, but it wasn’t that bad, actually. If you’re a Rangers fan, you probably feel good right now. The Panthers scored goal #2 on what was really a Rangers own goal, and then the 3rd goal was an empty netter. All things considered, it could’ve been worse.

Sergei Bobrovsky, aka playoff Bob, recorded the shutout in goal by stopping 23 shots on net.

Game 2 is a MUST-WIN for New York.

Western Conference Finals Off To A BANG

We had a DOUBLE OT game finish late last night between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers, and it was none other than team captain Connor McDavid who scored the game-winner for Edmonton.

Here’s the final goal.

McDavid had a very similar shot in the first OT that Jake Oettinger somehow saved.

It was all about star power on the ice last night. Edmonton's goals came at the hands of their best, with Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman scoring the other two goals in the 3-2 win. Tyler Seguin scored both goals for Dallas.

Rapid Fire Friday

We have a few quick things to cover, so if you're curious, follow along and click some links.

🏀 Rapper Drake just got himself a new team he can be a Superfan of. IYKYK. The WNBA will be introducing a team to Canada, and this is the first “international” team for the league. The Toronto team will be the league’s 14th team and will be ready for action in 2026. The team will be owned by the same group that owns the Maple Leafs, Raptors, and Toronto FC.

⛳️ Scottie Scheffler’s charges are not being dropped by the Louisville PD. That’s right… he’s still facing his charges of second-degree assault of an officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic.

You can even see in this video taken from across the street that Scottie didn’t really drive the car with a cop hanging on it.

⚾️ We don’t need to come up with the words to describe the ending to this White Sox game. Just watch the video and see for yourself.

⚾️ More baseball updates 👉️ The Philadelphia Phillies are on quite the streak. They’ve won 29 of their last 35 games, and it’s the best 35-game span for Philadelphia, which apparently has been done since 1892. This impressive streak continues as the Phillies swept last year’s World Series winners, the Texas Rangers, in a three-game series.
