USMNT Falls To Panama

Happy Thursday, we’re so close to the weekend. We’re coming at you as fast as a first serve at Wimbledon.

Let’s get right into the mix.

⚽️ USMNT Falls ⚽️

The US Men’s National Team battled it out on the pitch last night against Panama. It took 99 minutes for the first goal to be scored by Panama’s Ivan Anderson. The match was quickly evened out by USA’s Jesus Ferreira 6 minutes later.

The match would go into penalty kicks and Panama would come out on top. Panama will face Mexico in the Gold Cup on Sunday night.

No need to worry though. The US didn’t put their best team out on the pitch as they are giving some key players much-needed rest before their European leagues start at the end of the summer.

⛳️PGA Tour x’s 2 ⛳️

The PGA Tour has 2 events this week. Let’s check out both.

Scottish Open

The PGA Tour and the DP World Tour present a co-sanctioned event at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick Scotland. This event will host some of the best players from each tour, many of who are getting ready for next week’s final major of the year, The Open.

This week we’ve got Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Viktor Hovland, Max Homa, Matt Fitzpatrick, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, and you guessed it, Rory.

The rounds start early this week due to the time difference, but you’d never know it because there’s hardly any nighttime in North Berwick this time of year.

You can watch Thursday and Friday’s rounds on the Golf Channel from 8:30-10:30 am ET and also stream on the ESPN+

Barbasol Championship

The Barbasol Championship is a tournament with a small purse that takes place at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky. The winner of this tournament can get a tour exemption for 2 years which is super helpful as this field can be filled with guys who are just on the fringe of losing their pro status.

The Barbasol Championship can fill your afternoon golf void. Tune into the Golf Channel from 4-7 pm ET if you need to scratch the itch.

🏇Saratoga Race Track Opening Day 🏇

If you like summer, then you likely have heard of Saratoga Race Track. It’s one of the best places to be during the hot and humid months of July and August in the Northeast.

Horses will run at the track Wednesday-Sunday with races generally starting at 1:05 pm ET and the racing season runs until Labor Day weekend.

We’ll be discussing the ponies throughout the season, especially on the big race weekends.

🏆️ ESPYS 🏆️

The ESPY Award Ceremony was hosted last night. Check out the full list of award winners here.

That’s all for today, enjoy the day!
