🏀 Women’s Final Four Set
🏀 Bradley Beal Investigation
⛳️ PGA Tour Weekend Recap
Let’s do this thing.
Women’s Final Four
The final women’s Elite 8 games took place last night and the Final Four is set for Dallas.
The women’s Final Four looks much different than the men’s. In the women’s bracket the lowest seed to make the final four is a 3 seed. There is also a 2 seed in the mix and two other 1 seeds survived their regions as well.
On Sunday, 3 seeded LSU defeated 9 seeded Miami 54-42 and 2 seeded Iowa defeated 5 seeded Louisville 97-83.
Last night, 1 seeded South Carolina defeated 2 seeded Maryland 86-75 after being down 6 at the end of the 1st quarter.
Virginia Tech also secured their first ever trip to the final four after topping Ohio State 84-74 in the Monday night matchup.
The women will be coming off shorter rest than the men and will play the final four games on Friday.
1 Virginia Tech will face 3 LSU at 7:00pm on ESPN.
1 South Carolina will face 2 Iowa at 9:00pm on ESPN.
Bradley Beal Investigation
Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is under investigation after a postgame run-in with a fan in Orlando last week.
Reportedly, a group of fans approached Beal and some yelled out that Beal “made them lose $1300” on a bet and it was followed by expletives. Beal approached the group of men, flipping one of their hats off their head and then a verbal argument took place.
So here’s the deal people. No, maybe Beal shouldn’t have acknowledge the fans “angry group of people” or shouldn’t have knocked the hat off but let’s try two things from here on out.
Don’t bet more than you can afford to lose… and that includes not being upset about it.
Don’t say anything to the players, especially after a loss.
Should be pretty straight forward.
Beal appears to still be under investigation for battery and we’ll let you know if anything more comes of this, especially as the Wizards are currently a few games out from making the play-in tournament.
PGA Tour Update
This past weekend we had the Dell Match Play take place at Austin Country Club. It was a bracket style tournament and it was loads of fun to watch.
Sunday brought us the semifinal and final matches. In the semis we had Scottie Scheffler playing against his good buddy Sam Burns and we had Rory McIlroy facing Cameron Young.
Both matches went into playoffs and Sam Burns took down Scottie with a great putt on their 3rd playoff hole. Scheffler had the opportunity to put away Burns the hole before but missed a putt that he would normally make 99% of the time.
.@Samburns66 for the win 😤
After 21 holes, Burns defeats Scheffler and will face Cameron Young in the championship @DellMatchPlay.

Rory also was in position to win during playoffs and Cam Young had a tough up and down so Rory played a safe approach shot. Young stuck his approach shot and putt and put the pressure on McIlroy. McIlroy missed his putt and we were set for a Cam Young vs Sam Burns championship.
Cam Young took the lead early in the final round going 1 up on hole #2. Sam Burns turned the jets on at hole 5, winning that hole and the next 3. He followed that up with a win at 10, 12, and 13 to get the overall win 6 up with 5 to go.
This win will likely move Sam Burns into the top 10 in the World Golf Rankings.
That’s all for today. We’ll chat about some NFL QB updates tomorrow and some other topics.
Speaking of NFL QBs. Looks like retired Tom is having a blast on the beach.
Have a great Tuesday
