A Walk-Off In Game 1 + NFL Sunday Preview
Good Morning, I hope you got more rest lest night than the major leagues who are getting less than 18 hours of rest for game 2 in the World Series.
It’s the last Saturday in October and if you name the sport, we’ve got it. Football, basketball, baseball, hockey, we even have boxing!
Here’s how we’re doing things. We dropped our college football preview yesterday so no need to worry about that. Just make your bets and tune in. We’ll do a quick recap of other games(baseball and more) from last night and then we’ll drop some NFL Week 8 goodies.
Let’s go.
World Series (Rangers Lead 1-0)
Arizona Diamondbacks 5 | Texas Rangers 6
⚾️ The Rangers got off to a hot 2-0 lead at the end of the 1st inning. Arizona would recover and take a 3-2 lead in the top of the 3rd. Texas would tie it up in the bottom of the 3rd but Arizona would score a run in the 4th and 5th inning.
⚾️ It was a pretty simple strategy that was executed by the Diamondbacks. Get a hit, advance a base on a steal or bunt, get a bat on the ball, and get a runner home. It worked like a charm all night long.. until the bottom of the 9th when Corey Seager smashed a 2-run homerun with 1 out and a 1 runner on base to tie the game.
⌛️ The game would go into extra innings and it was just a matter of time…
💣️It was just a matter of time before Adolis Garcia went off. Garcia would hit a walk-off homer in extra innings to win it for the Rangers.

🏀 Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets to a win last night with 22 points
New York Knicks 126 | Atlanta Hawks 120
🏀 The Knicks got their first win of the season last night after Jalen Brunson scored 31 points with the help of 8 3’s that he made. RJ Barrett scored 26 and Julius Randle scored 17.
🏀 The Hawks are off to a 0-2 start. De’Andre Hunter was the point leader for ATL with 27 points
Miami Heat 111 | Boston Celtics 119

Other Notable Performances
🔥Luka Doncic led the Dallas Mavericks to a win over the Brooklyn Nets with a masterful performance. Luka had 49 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists.

NFL Sunday Preview
Before we begin, if you’re looking for the full slate of games you can find it here. We’ve got a few good games in the early slot and one good one in the afternoon. The Sunday Night Football matchup is trash, but maybe it will be exciting, I guess you’ll need to watch to find out.
Here’s what we’re looking out for tomorrow.
LA Rams(3-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (4-2)
📺️ Gametime is 1 pm ET on FOX
❓️ Who are the Rams and who are the Cowboys? Are the Rams a talented offensive team when all cylinders are firing and Matthew Stafford is healthy? Are the Cowboys just a good team against bad teams? Can the Rams stop the Cowboys run game? Can the Cowboys shut down Cooper Kupp or Puca Nacua? These are all questions we’re looking to have answered tomorrow.
💰️Dallas is giving 6 points in this matchup and the O/U is 45.5. I think Rams cover the spread but ultimately come up short straight up. I also think this will end up under 45.5.
New York Jets(3-3) @(lol) New York Giants (2-6)
📺️ Gametime is 1 pm ET on CBS
💰️ We’re skipping straight to the moneybag here. The Jets’ defense is dope and the Giants are a big MEH. We’ve got two backup QBs playing (don’t you dare try to convince me that Zach Wilson is a starter) Jets are -3 favorites and the O/U is 35.5. I’ll stay away from the points total but I’ll take the Jets ATS.
New England Patriots (2-5) @ Miami Dolphins (5-2)
📺️ Gametime is 1 pm ET on CBS
👀 The Patriots are coming off a big win against the Bills but here’s the thing. The Dolphins destroy bad teams…. and New England is still bad. Also, I don’t think the Pats are going to be able to pressure Tua the way the Eagles did and Tua is very good with time.
💰️ The Dolphins are -9.5 favorites and I initially thought it was too high, but nope, it’s not. I’ll take the Dolphins ATS and the Under at 46.5.
Cincinnati Bengals (3-3) @ San Francisco 49ers (5-2)
📺️Gametime is 4:25 pm ET on CBS
👀 Is this a make-or-break game for either team? Maybe not. Are the 49ers on a 2 game-losing streak and could use a win? Sure thing, especially as it’s looking like they'll be playing with backup QB Sam Darnold. Are the Bengals coming off of a bye and had extra time to prepare? Yup, and boy do they need a win. Both of these teams have talent but haven’t necessarily brought their best stuff recently. The Bengals defense is one of the best in the league in the 2nd half and the 49ers defense isn’t perfect. I’m not sure what to expect from a 49ers offense that might have a different QB again but I think the Bengals offense can only improve on an extra week of rest.
💰️ The Niners are now 5-point favorites in this matchup and the O/U is 43.5. I’ll take the Bengals ATS and the over. I think this game will be on the slower side of an NFL game so that gave me some hesitation on the over but I think we’ll see both teams convert in the redzone a few times.
Saturday Boxing
🥊 We mentioned boxing so here are the details. Tyson Fury is set to fight Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.
📺️ The main event fight is expected to start around 5:30 pm ET and you can get it on pay-per-view on ESPN+
That’s all for today. Enjoy all the football and baseball and we’ll be back tomorrow to discuss all of Saturday’s action.
