We've Been Blind Sided
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday. We’ve got scandals today.
Scandals in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. We’re not going to dig too dip into them today because we don’t have all the info yet (we assume there’s more to come), but we want you to be in the know.
We’re also going to chat about some RBs finding new backfields to be a part of.
Here we go.
We’ve Been Blind Sided
Our first scandal today is The Blind Side. Yes, we’re talking about the movie “The Blind Side”. Well, we’re sort of talking about the movie. You’ve likely seen it because it made over $300 millie.
Here’s the deal, Michael Oher was an offensive tackle who was supposed to protect the blind side of the QB but what he didn’t know was that his own “family” was rigging the game.
When Oher was a young boy the Tuohy family took him in and provided him with some help, adopted him, and he eventually attended Ole Miss and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. You probably know all of this by now.
Oher alleges that he was never actually adopted and that the Tuohy family had him sign a conservatorship, telling Oher that it was practically the same as adoption but couldn’t be called adoption because he was 18 at the time.
It appears that the Tuohys tried to pull a fast one and by using this conservatorship, they have been able to make millions of dollars on behalf of Oher’s name, while Oher never received any share of the earnings.
…..scandalous!

The James Harden Scandal
Something fishy is going on in Philadelphia.
Look, James Harden is not the best example of a 100% workhorse mentality. He’s been on this little cycle of playing really good basketball, asking to get traded, doesn’t get what he wants, gets a little out of shape(or a lot), gets traded, and repeats.
But something isn’t adding up. James Harden has made it a point to say he’s never playing for the 76ers or owner Darryl Morey again.
Lots of people are saying that Harden is being a baby and just trying to get his way. Here’s the deal though, Harden took a $14 million pay cut last year for his team. There had to have been something that was promised to him to make him do that and now it’s not being delivered on. So it’s either Harden is a big baby or Darryl Morey is a massive liar.
Safe to say we won’t see James Harden in a Sixers uniform again

Wander Franco
We’re really not going to dig too deep into this story. I wasn’t going to write about this, but you should probably know about it if it comes up during a random conversation in the office(which would be weird if it did).
Wander Franco, shortstop for the Tampa Bay Rays has been put on the restricted list as he’s being investigated for by the Rays and MLB.
Here’s a short rundown of what happened.
Franco posted a picture on Instagram with a female, it looks like it’s his significant other
People saw the picture and reported that she was not of the legal age
No one knows who this person is and if she is from the US or Dominican Republic(where Franco is from)
Franco did go live on IG and say he’s not doing anything wrong
Franco has agreed to go on the restricted list while this is being looked at.
That’s all, moving on.
Runningbacks Getting Signed
Ezekiel Elliott
After 8 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Zeke Elliott has been signed by the New England Patriots in a 1-year deal. The deal could be worth up to $6 million and he’ll be filling a thin spot on the Pats roster. Maybe some security at RB is all Mac Jones needs to be successful at QB.
Dalvin Cook
Dalvin Cook is planning to sign a 1-year deal with the New York Jets that could be worth up $8.6 million. Cook had 4 straight pro-bowl seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and now he’ll be in the backfield with QB Aaron Rodgers leading the way. The Jets have No.1 RB Breece Hall returning from ACL surgery in week 1.
That’s all for today. We’ll be back tomorrow to talk about the Women’s World Cup, College Football Rankings, and more.
Have a day!
