Top Story

It's no surprise that to win a game, you need to score more points than the other team. For some NFL teams, scoring points can be a bit of a problem. Here's some trade rumors that might fix some problems.

Bill O'Brien was just rehired as the New England Patriots offensive coordinator and there is some speculation that Arizona Cardinals receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, could potentially be traded to New England. O'Brien was Hopkins' coach in Houston and then the GM before he traded Hopkins to Arizona. New England was middle of the pack when it comes to average points scored in a game. Hopkins and O'Brien could be the boost they need in Foxborough. There are also thoughts that Hopkins could be a good fit in Baltimore. I think this would be a useful trade only if Lamar Jackson resigns with the Ravens.

Aaron Rodgers remains present in the news. After commenting that he believes he can still win an MVP, along with the fact the he wants to help the team win, his name is being thrown around the trade ring. Where do some think he might land? Seeing as the Packers likely wouldn't trade him to another NFC team, many are thinking he could end up a New York Jet. NYJ owner Woody Johnson would likely be willing to pay the price to the get the still talented QB. The Jets finished 29th in scoring in the regular season and Rodgers could be a well needed catalyst for a team that has an already stout defense.

Performance of the Day

We don't like to give performance of the day out to teams that lose but our top two picks were on losing squads. Last night's big performance came from LeBron James in Los Angeles showdown where the hometown Lakers lost to the hometown Clippers. LeBron came up just short of triple double and dropped 46 points which is well above his 29.6 per game avg on the season. Amazing that he's able to do this in his 20th season.

What to Tune in for

America loves golf but we love football just a little bit more. Okay, maybe like wayyyy more. In order to have more viewers in the final round and not clash with NFL Playoffs, the Farmers Insurance Open which is being play at the beloved Torrey Pines is playing a bit off schedule. Normally a PGA Tour Event is played Thursday-Sunday but with the NFL adding a 17th week it throws off the playoff schedule. Farmers decided to move the event up a day and finish on Saturday in order to protect CBS Broadcasting. With all the rain that California has received in the last two weeks, expect the rough to be very long and hard to unforgiving.

Have a great Wednesday!
