Scottie Scheffler = Bad Boy

First off, we need to mention that Scottie is very fortunate these events happened on a Friday and not a Saturday because he could have spent the whole weekend in jail. Here we go.

Scottie Scheffler, the world's #1 golfer, was arrested on Friday morning at the PGA Championship in Kentucky.

Here's what happened:

In the most unfortunate event today, a pedestrian was struck by a shuttle bus near the golf course, and one person lost their life. It’s terrible news, and while we’re not downplaying this, it created massive chaos on a dark and rainy morning at Valhalla Golf Club.

About an hour after this tragic event took place, Scheffler trying to get to the course and there were a ton of police cars and people in yellow reflective jackets managing the vehicles. Scheffler was suppose to be immediately allowed to enter the facility becuase his car was marked as a player’s vehicle. Scottie had no way of driving striaght and was then seen driving on a median towards the course entrance.

A police officer tried to stop him by banging his flashlight on Scheffler’s car door and then eventually pulled the golfer out of the car.

He was arrested and charged with felony assault on a police officer and reckless driving.

Scheffler told the officer that he didn’t know he was a cop because he could only see he was wearing a yellow jacket.

Scheffler is fortunate that there is a delay at the course today and he is able to make his tee time.

Obviously, assaulting a police officer is not something we condone, but this does seem to be quite the misunderstanding amidst a bunch of chaos.

Let’s continue on with the PGA Championship.

Xander Schauffele took advantage of soft conditions yesterday, attacking pins, and tying the record for the lowest round in a major. Xander finished with a 62 (9 under) and is in the lead by three strokes.

Following closely behind him is Sahith Theegala, Tony Finau, and Mark Hubbard, who are all 6 under.

Seven other golfers are 5 under and they include Rory and Collin Morikawa.

Brooks Koepka and Scheffler were 4 under.

Viktor Hovland, Cam Smith, Max Homa, and Bryson DeChambeau are 3 under.

We’ve got a lot of good golf left to play with great players in great positions.

Even better, Tiger Woods looked like he was in good shape yesterday and finished +1. We’ll see if Tiger can go low today and get past the cut becasue we all know golf is better with him aroujnd on the weekend. The one issue for Woods is he will be teeing off later in the day and there are potential thunderstorms in the afternoon. That could impact Woods tomorrow morning if he has to play 25+ holes in one day.

You can find today’s tee times right here.

New York Rangers punch ticket to ECF

The New York Rangers have punched their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals in the Stanley Cup Playoff and they needed a comeback win to do so.

The Rangers were down 3-1 in the third period and scored 4 straight goals, which included a natural hat trick from Chris Kreider to get the win 5-3.

Canucks take lead in series over Oilers

Heartbreak, heartbreak, heartbreak. If you were Oilers fdan watching on tv.

But if you’re a Canucks fan and you were live in person. HOLY CRAP.

WHAT A FINISH.

The Oilers and Canucks traded a few goals back and forth after Evander Kane opened the game with a goal just 4 minutes in and gave Edmonton the quick 1-0 lead.

Fast-forward to the third period, and with the game tied at 2-2 and less than a minute left, you might think this could go into overtime.

NOT SO FAST.

With 33 seconds left on the clock, J.T. Miller scored the game-winning goal for Vancouver, and now we’re heading to Edmonton for game 6. This series keeps getting better.

T-Wolves Dominate in Game 6

The Minnesota Timberwolves won game 6 by 45 points. The team that just won the NBA finals last year, got beat by forty freaking five points in the NBA playoffs. whattttttttttt?

It was a terrible night for the Nuggets. They shot 30% from the field and 19% from three. Jamal Murray finished with 10 points… which is a rarity.

On the flip side, Minnesota had double digits from 5 players, including 27 from Anthony Edwards and 21 from Jaden McDaniels.

The bigger story was rebounding. Minnesota hit the glass hard, outrebounding Denver 62-43.

GAME SEVEN IN DENVER. IT’S ABOUT TO GO DOWN!
